Great podcast 👍 I was going to go Saka to Odegaard for 1 game and then to Saar but most recommend Bruno, so not sure anymore. Merry Christmas 🎄

I would be tempted with Martinelli instead of Odegaard because if Jesus starts, then Odegaard plays deeper than you would like and to me is more of an xA threat with pens hoping to get involved in open play at best. Arsenal fans in general are not impressed with his recent play, subbed off after 63min in a tied game v Everton in particular. I'm looking for Diaz/Foden/Martinelli and chasing points despite a 68k rank myself. FPL is all about total points at the end of the day, Fernandes may get 3pt or 6pt v WOL which I'm thinking is insufficient with NEW(h) then LIV(a) afterwards. Liverpool should score 9 goals minimum in their next three matches (LEI h), WHU(a), MUN(h) seeing the gap at the top of PL standings is still fairly close. If your LIV midfielder starts, he's golden for LEI(h) in my viewpoint.

My team value after selling Saka is 105.7m, have TAA,Gabriel,Raya, Isak, Cunha, J.Pedro, Palmer,Salah, Amad, Rogers. I am thinking of Diaz or Martinelli as my Saka replacement. Foden plays Everton so I'm unsure about how many goals Man City score seeing LIV and ARS play promoted sides at home. If Cunha was banned I would certainly do Jesus + Diaz in for Cunha and Saka but Cunha seems fine to play.

Hey Ross, do you think of a defense of Trent, Gabriel, Hall, Robinson, Munoz is overkill? I own all of them already apart from Munoz, and i’m tired of seeing Greaves on my bench. I’ve looked at the rotation and it looks decent enough to me, Up until 28 you end up getting: Munoz - SOU (H), LEI (A), EVE (H), IPS (H) Robinson - IPS (H), LEI (A), CRY (H), WOL(A) Hall - SOU (A), FUL (H) They’re also all expected to play in Blank GW29.

As someone who is already tripled on Arsenal with 1 FT, I've gone Saka to Martinelli and planning to move Pedro to Mateta. Would love to get Munoz in too, but he will have to wait. As for Everton....boy do I regret selling Mykolenko 6 weeks ago.

Hey Ross. Happy Christmas and congrats on your rise to 188k. Sounds like a good idea to step away from fpl content over the holidays as thinking about the game so much does take its toll. I was actually a fair bit ahead of you for much of the season, but I have been fluctuating between 350k and 250k for weeks now, which is frustrating. And the issue is my differentials. I sold Mbeumo to Palmer about 3 weeks back to get the template trio and I've been holding onto Rogers. Outside of those, I've owned Garnacho & Semenyo and currently own Amad, Wood & Joao Pedro. Only Wood has done anything really over the past 5 weeks. For gw17, I was settled on benching Pedro for Rogers, but was swayed towards playing Pedro instead after checking out the deadline streams. To make matters worse, the guy I am chasing in my minileague played Rogers. So that last minute change of heart was devastating - as was swapping Semenyo (after weeks of blanks) to an in-form Amad. Its only a game, but I was very poor company over the weekend for sure. Dilemma is the same for this weekend. Do I play Rogers, Amad or Pedro? Rogers absolutely ran the show on Sat and I was fortunate not to be punished more severely.

Tempted to triple captain Salah. I think Leicester are at their lowest point and it could be an opportunity for an absolute spanking before Ruud starts to make a difference or they use the transfer window.

I was very happy to activate the TC but am put off it now mostly because of LIV v TOT EFL CUP semifinals match being placed on Feb 6. I think WOL(h) and EVE(a) in a 50% chance DGW25 seems more attractive, we know Salah's bonus points are amazing given the BPS change being favorable for midfielders. I'm happy to own a 2nd LIV attacker for LEI(h) though. Assistant manager chip could also be used then, it seems maybe 70% likely Liverpool play in the EFL CUP Final and therefore blank in gw29 so they could easily double in gw33 with AVL(a), their gw29 fixture which would need to be moved, and LEI(a) as the fixtures in double gw33. There are basically 2 other strong gameweeks to use the TC after gw19 now, not just one. I have a feeling Salah plays very well but perhaps gets 2 bonus and comes off after 70ish minutes seeing it's WHU(a) in a few days afterwards (DEC 26 to DEC 29 is a quick turnaround).
