This was very nicely done, doing it all at once. The spectator aspect is also grand, taking a full 46 seconds from the first explosion to the last smokestack hitting the ground. Very beautiful.

Was there, saw it, drove down from NJ and scheduled my vacation around being there to see this iconic event first hand. In person it was much louder than the video shows. Was so loud that it set off dozens of car alarms.

Amazing video. Interesting that what probably took a couple years to build can be brought down in 45 seconds.

Used to go there as a kid and would feed the manatees and fish that stayed near the plant for the warm water, then would drive by the cruise ships, head to Carlos and Pepes, and end the day at Ocean World.

I think they picked good colors for the smokestacks. If I were a smoke stack, I would want to be red and white.

Very sad day for Ft Lauderdale. They should have left the smokestacks up...we lost a piece of history today.

Is it bad that I have "Smokestack Lightning" in my head now?
