I tried fprintf(fp,"%s %d %f ",name,age,height); on my program and the output turns out to be John 21 178.20 Like after every string it automatically enters. Is there a way for it to be printed on the same line ?

Where did the string 'name' come from? Did you use the fgets function? You may need to remove the trailing newline if this is the case: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoatiWxslL-jjKc. 🙂
