The next part will be an hour long, I'm pretty unhappy with my gameplay to be honest. I made soo many mistakes that I normally don't make, but I was really worried about getting knocked out early so as you'll see I do my best to be aggressive early.

So seeing how Lefty kyle and chiz played civ 5 I thought they might want to know how score calculations in the game work so, To see how score is made go to diplomacy and hover over the score next to a given nation, it will say where it comes from

eeMJaii haha you haven't seen the rest of the gameplay I make some huge mistakes later. For one thing I tried to make my cities "jacks of all trades" instead of specializing them. Not to mention I totally should have worked on my cities production before going for a great wonder. Oh well I had fun and I'm still learning. Thanks for watching!

Kyle if you click the scroll in the bottom right corner next to the map you can turn on resource yield icons and be able to see all of the resources around you, how much production, gold, etc they give you and it just makes it a lot easier to see where things are and where to build cities/send workers.

I've got around 300 hours in civ, and it seems like Kyle's priorities are sometimes not right. He always seems to have a lot of his production, and general priorities in the military. Military is very easy to create when a problem seems like it will arise, or has arisen. Another reason you always feel like you have to have a military is because you paint yourself as the powerful military guy. Stay quiet at the beginning, and then be loud af. Also, the first thing he should have done, should have been to get a worker and grow. But he went for a scout. Without barbarians he should have used his warrior as a scout, and went for a worker. It seems like Kyle prioritizes the wrong things all too often. Make sure you basically are just putting everything to growth, and in science at the beginning of the game. With a higher science you shouldn't have many problems. Cheers, keep it coming!

Okay Kyle I've been playing Civ V and its expansions for years, exclusively on immortal and with friends: This is what you need to do to take your game to the next level: Never automate anything, bullshit WILL happen. For working tiles, build farms on plain and river tiles, mines on hills, trading posts on grasslands, lumbermills in forested grassland, and improve the obvious luxury resources. If theres a forest on a hill, chop that shit down. Always follow this guideline. Songhai is a mediocre and niche civilization... it can work if the map favors it, but you want to pick a better well rounded powerhouse civ. Tradition is 95% of the time the BEST policy tree to complete for almost ANY civ. You get a shit ton more gold and population. More gold means you can afford a BIGGER ARMY. Higher population means more EVERYTHING (workable tiles and science). You also get eliminate a huge chunk of unhappiness from your capital. This then synergizes with a later social policy, rationalism which gives you even more science. Liberty, on the other hand, pales in comparison to tradition unless you are an experienced player with a specific civ that focuses on expanding to a ridiculous amount of cities like 20. The problem with this is that less experienced players will build every building in each city and try to grow it like its a capital, rather than specializing. This leads to major gold problems and weak cities that seem to take forever to do something. On standard maps you will usually have only 3-7 cities. In cases like these, tradition is much better, where each city is strong in every aspect. Don't go to war just because you can. If you randomly roam around with an archer trying to 720 no scope workers just because you can, it's a mistake. All you're doing is provoking everyone to build more military units in response and gang up on you. Go to war for these reasons: War for profit (they have good land and good shit), strategic warfare (crippling an important high production city so they cant shit out military units as quickly or pillaging strategic resources that are needed for military units, such as pillaging iron so their swordsman/longswordsman will be weaker.), war for domination (commit genocide to win the game). Also on part 2 you completely neglect granary. The essential buildings you need in EVERY city are granary, library, and monument. Of course tradition provides monuments in every city so you should build granary first and then library. Library gives science based on your population. It makes better sense to get the food building before getting your science building And for god's sake do not mess with the city interface and tiles. Just leave it on food focus until your city becomes big enough to work all the tiles available and then switch it to production focus. Don't try to micromanage tiles based on your decisions over the default tiles they have set. If you want more info, google carls guides. Explains everything you ever need to know in civ.
