This is awesome! I want to do this. Yeah, I hope you can follow up with how you set everything up. I copied the last two frames of your video for the equipment, camera, transmitter and receiver, ESC, etc, realizing how much work you put into it but also not wanting to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. I will be looking them up and where to buy them. Thanks for a very enjoyable video.

Of course, would be happy to do a build video on it. I had my hands full these last 6 month, haven't had a chance to play at all.

like too see you set it up for a long range high altitude flight at least 3k round trip.

I was using 3.3GHz FPV transmitter in a combo with directional antenna on a ground station. Going over 3K might be possible on 3.3 i will have to test it. I will be going out to the mountains this weekend, and will do some high flying however, one of my receivers failed recently, it was the one with directional. The other is omni and range suffers as you know. Also picked up IronHorse 500mW/1w... will try it today.

This is awesome. Can you do a video on how you setup your FPV in the plane and how did you make the custom canopy? Would it be possible to just buy a second canopy and replace the foggy plastic with clear plexiglass?

@@stellium1745 do you have RC sound in your P47? If so, where did you mount the speakers? I'm having a hard time selecting a good location. Also, I didn't see your custom canopy instructions, can you link to them?

The canopy pics are on Hobby Squawk forum, here is the link: www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/rc-airplanes/rc-warbirds/159563-e-flite-p-47-razorback-1-2m-48#post226325 The sound: Sound you hear in this video is from the HD recording onboard by RunCam Split. The mic is in the camera and camera board installed under the canopy. Attached to the bottom of the canopy. If you look up RunCam Split, you'll see that it is in two pieces. One is the Lens and the other is HD board. The lens is attached to the board by a cable. Lens or camera is in the cockpit and HD board is under the canopy. Here is a link to RunCam Split: www.getfpv.com/runcam-split-2-hd-fpv-camera.html This one is no longer being manufactured. There is a newer version. If you are going to get it, my advice is to get one with the longest cable. The new versions come with a really short cable which makes it hard to do Head Tracking. Runcam Split 3 Nano and Nano Whoop have 66mm cable, Split 3 Micro has 58mm cable... Here is the link to Runcam Split 3: shop.runcam.com/runcam-split-3-micro-and-split-3-nano/
