Sir I just wanted to hop in here and say, you sir are a GOAT. I haven’t been able to get my pc running semi smoothly for months. Gave up reset my pc for the 5th time this year, followed this vid pretty much to the T and my desktop is now butter DESTINY 2 the most unoptimized game I’ve touched is now butter. Coming from my UNSMOOTH 120 fps in 6’s to my now SMOOTH 150-160 fps. Thank you! ❤

interesting, on my rig its only about 40 fps difference between titles. vanilla vs optimized (with bios settings done on both of course) i suppose it could depend, weaker systems could be different!

@@FR33THY i was actually somewhat surprised to gain such a higher average fps. My system was already pretty optimized i would like to think. Before this guide, i was running around 110 Processes after boot. Now I am running 80. My specs: 2070 (OC) and i5-9600K (5.2ghz OC) hehe

Timer resolution is very much not placebo. It is true that programs do change your timer to a lower one when using them. But I've found that something like Chrome changes it to 1.000 whilst some games change it to 0.500. Also, sometimes when you play a game and it's being changed to 0.500 if you then alt+tab and open your browser it then gets changed to 1.000 and even after you close your browser and tab back in to the game it does not get changed back to 0.500. So having something that forces it to 0.500 at all times is good. I'm thankful for this. Now, weather there is an actual difference between 1.000 and 0.500 when it comes to performance or latency that is up for debate but might aswell make sure it is set correctly at all times.

Idk why it was failed to mention, but messing with the task bar WILL undo all pinned icons and reverting it will not restore it. If you have the taskbar in a state you like, manually edit the settings, don't use this shortcut

Timer resolution does actually have a big impact especially on input lag and 1% lows. Even better if you do the Amit method of setting up the timer resolution.

Hi Fr33thy I have done most of the optimizations on my PC and it works perfectly the number of fps I gain is still impressive I have been doing your optimizations for years and it has never disappointed me, on this one I I just have a problem when I deactivate Windows security I can't play Valorant because of a problem because the game needs flow control protection and there would be a way to deactivate security on windows while keeping flow control activated via a regedit line or a line to delete in the security.ps1 file?

Hi! Quick problem I just got, the DDU script fetch the version 18.0.7.7 right now, and your script is made for 18.0.7.6, so it mess up things because of its name. So I had to change the version in the script. I'd suggest to try and get either a fix version or get some regex to patch it. Thank you :D

1:55:28 I don't remember exactly what it was but i saw a tech channel that confirmed 8k polling does not work on ps5 controller. he said something like it does 8 individual 1000hz rates and it just makes ur cpu run more. so just use 1000hz. if you really want a higher hz controller i believe some controllers are going to soon come out stock with 2000hz+. I saw a Flydigi Apex black myth wukong controller trailer that is supposed to have 2000hz stock which seems cool.

Almost all modern (and even not so modern) games support "raw mouse input", so the mouse acceleration setting in Windows does not matter.

I've been trying different "Optimization Guides" for a very long time now, comparing them all and looking for the best of the best. I tried your new one, but I've found better performance and latency installing Atlas OS. I'd be interested in your results. I was very surprised

im not a fan of atlas os, no revert option. plan on benchmarking and covering it in a video for the future. i did benchmack it quite a while ago and there was no difference for me vs a vanilla with the right things done. 👍

@@FR33THY Yeah I heard about the old versions not having a revert. From what I understand now is that after the install you get a folder filled with stuff to revert changes with links to helpful info. Seems to be moving in the right direction in development.
