The Friedman HBE 2018 C45 is my amp of choice, too! BTW, Ola, a small tip maybe that you should have power amp modelling on and send a direct signal to front of house and send a signal with no cab emulation to your backline for stage monitoring. That way you can have the best of both worlds live. Your sound will be 100% consistent on tour and you would still have all the volume you need on stage for feedback and pushing air.
@26ruben12 жыл бұрын
Thank you for making a video on how to use this in a "Live" situation. It seems like every video on KZbin dedicated to a Fractal/Helix/or other modeling device is strictly focussed on using it for recording or going direct into the sound board. You get it dude! And we appreciate you!

Dude that sounds fantastic! Kick ass beastly tone out of a smaller unit & for me personally - this price point puts Fractal square in my sights. The only downside (if you can call it that) is now there's another piece of gear causing my perpetual GAS to flare up!!! As we all know GAS never sleeps & is an insatiable beeotch! Excellent video as always! Keep doing the good stuff!!!!!!!!!!🤘😁🤘

FM3 with the FC6 and an EV-1 is the ultimate way to run imo. Yes you can do it with the FM3/EV alone without question, but when used with the FC6 in OMG9 layout it is phenomenally flexible and a breeze to use.

New Content idea: Show modelers, pedals or amps on a live stage. With a drummer and a bass player. No one has done this yet. Every youtuber is only showing the gear used as a standalone unit. The sounds that are needed in a live band are often much different, from the tones you would use in a studio.

Huh? It was not at all uncommon to see these live when I did live sound for metal acts. Some bands were even ampless - just straight into the PA. Actually made a much better front of house mix in smaller venues because I wasn’t fighting some amp which was over powered for the venue.

@WokeUpScreaming4 жыл бұрын
The "cheesy" vibe from the harmonizer comes from the harmonizer being placed after your amp block, so it's shifting your amp tone up. If there's a way you can put it before the amp, and send the harmony signal into a second separate amp block, it will sound ten times better. :)
@attherateofarobase4 жыл бұрын
Yep..the workaround to make this happen in the FM3 (only one Amp block available) is to run the harmonizer into a Drive block in parallel and then send that to the same destinations as the Amp block itself, or even in stereo to make it sound like two guitars just for the lead part. This way the Drive block is used as a preamp going into a cab..it just needs to be dialled in to work well with the main sound as it won't have power amp modelling, but that won't be an issue especially when running into a valve power section like we are here.

Navigating through the 8 scenes per preset isn't too bad though, just hold the right footswitch and three more scenes. Doesn't really need a 4th f/s in that case imho. Great unit though, game changer for its size, anything that fits in a backpack or small carry bag is the best. Plus IEC power cord, no adapter. Phenomenal

@thegodless29044 жыл бұрын
@@brandonproctor3639 Exactly my friend, Neural should never have taken it to NAMM in the state it was. Their VST's are excellent but for their first time foray into hardware, its not as simple as "shove a DSP in a chassis" and we're good to go. I think they rushed to make a buzz too soon because of the FM3, instead of taking time and getting a decent prototype ready.

@easyjamtracks4 жыл бұрын
Hello, not Ola obviously though I routinely use an AXE FXII on stage and I tend to adjust my global EQ to wherever I'm playing that night. However I usually always have a low pass filter at around 12K and a high pass around 100hz. As we have a bass player & backing tracks already, I tend to remove the 300hz area also but I always check during soundcheck and then adjust. Some places have already removed those frequencies from the FOH EQ and me also removing makes the guitar extra weak.

Thank you for this quick "tutorial" video! I am also planning to replace my old friend AX8 pedal to an FM3, especially for the size. In default mode I am using the AX8 with a Mesa Triaxis preamp + Mesa 2:90 power amp, but only the effects, with 4 cable method (I stole this solution from your old Randall Satan + AX8 tutorial video :) ), I think also, this is the best solution for a hybrid setup. It has the power of the real amplifier + the excellent effects. Very brutal and massive wall of sound, especially with two ENGL cabinets. :) Fuck, I am missing these live concerts. Sometimes we are touring with an airplane, so I also made a whole bunch of presets (every song have the individual preset, different delay times, etc) to hook up with a backline amp's power amp section, and also made these presets with cab simulator blocks as well. The size of the AX8 is sometimes reaches the maximum of a cabin bag (depends on the airline), some security guys claiming about that. So I think the FM3 would be the best solution + I have to buy the FM6 also (never ending story for the wallets), which I can place for example in the guitar case also. It's very impressive to see/hear the smaller and bigger upgrades in the FM3 (editable footswitch texts finally!!!!!!), compare to the AX8, and not just making a new pedal without any improvements, making the AX8 as a legacy product, and forcing the musicians to buy the new one. The AX8 is still a kick-ass modeller, and for me it's more natural sounding than the other competitors. So, let's go to the FM3 waitlist... Greetings, Zoltán
