Definitely at the end before the delays and reverbs is my preferred spot. I use the guitar volume for making input level/gain adjustments. Doing swells with all the tails and post amp is what I love doing. Thanks for the tips!!

I've had a volume pedal incorporated in my rig for decades and I really love the options that I now have with using it with AF3/FC12 setup.. I'm like you: after the amp before the time-based goodies.. and I don't mind having to implement that block into every preset I use live onstage.. the biggie: having the heel down tuner on feature..VERY cool! thanks Cooper!

New FM9 user, who uses the Volume pedal alot for Swells in the style of music I play (Lots of Delay and Reverb). I was disappointed to discover that the Global Input Volume does not have the ability to be overridden by the insertion of a a per-preset VolPan block, as it seems it should be a logical option and would be easy for FA to implement. Or at least, the Factory presets should be built to automatically include a Bypassed VolPan block. I would need to edit 380+ presets to add it, and always be concerned about Firmware overwrites, and with no simple way to insert a block into a preset and have it shift everything over, not a task I am ready to take on.

This may be a dumb question... if I assign the exp. pedal as a volume pedal (globally or on a single preset) does that mean I cannot use the expression pedal in any other way? As a wah, for example.

Would it work to have send/return blocks just before the delay and then set the expression pedal to control the return output level? Could you set thar up as a global setting?

Hi brother ! With fractal fm3 it's possible to record the guitar directly to the PC, I would like to know if the modulation effects can be recorded by applying them in post production; recording the sound of the guitar without effects and applying the modulation after recording? or is this work not possible with fm3 and therefore I have to use the plug ins?

Thanks for the informative video. I am using a Boss EV5 pedal. I still have some issues though: On the factory presets when I tried to use Global volume settings, it seems to work on the wah effects but at the same time cuts out the volume with heel down! Must I assign a volume block to get the volume pedal to work on volume? Most factory presets are crowded with no more room for a block!

i bought the FM3 turbo about 6 mouths ago and been trying to get a fractal expression pedal and they've been out of stock, i gig with a helix and need a pedal, do you recommend any other brand that work wells with the FM3.
