I know another way to understand fractions. And it is in proportion. If you multiply 2/4 by 2, the new fraction 4/8 will equal 2/4. The two fractions are different in numbers, but they are equal. If you divide them and from it, if you say that 35 is equal to 100 and the denominator of 100 is 80, then in order for 100 to be equal to 35, the denominator of 35 must be equal to 28. (80*35)/100= 28 . 100*28 = 35*80 I can use any number 5 equal to 4 the denominator of 5 is 1 so the denominator of 4 should be 0.8
