You can spot Buster Keaton and Mack Sennett in the first half, and Douglas Fairbanks in the entire 2nd half.

Raymond Rohauer was the series' uncredited "film consultant"- and he controlled the rights to most of the Keaton sequences {every episode featured at least one scene involving Buster}.
