Gobo is confused why the Silly Creature (Doc) can't see him. At the same time Cantus has Gobo on the search for the honk of all honks. From the episode "The Honk Of Honks" S04E23

For a kid growing up on '80's television, seeing Doc finally meet a Fraggle was just about the biggest event you could imagine.

It's always sadder for me because I'm in my 30's now and in my saddest moments, I still wished for a Fraggle.

Fraggle rocks endings was one of the best show endings in history, I cry every time and sing along with the last ending song as all of the characters sing together. What I'd give for a really good sequel movie. A movie that takes place forty years later and shows all the characters older, wiser, even some knew characters. Just seeing everyone together again seeing the caves of fraggle rock again, listening to the music again. I'd be the biggest fan in the front of opening night for that movie, IDC if it would be a kids movie

Gerard Parkes (Born October 16, 1924- Died October 19, 2014) R. I. P. He died of natural causes. He was most remembered for his performance as "DOC" on Fraggle Rock, a role that he really enjoyed and was very proud of. He was a magical man and will be greatly missed.

Ah, don't you all know? You CANNOT leave the magic. Even the ones who go on to the next great adventure. The ones we love never really leave us. Love is power enough to transcend even death. I'm so glad I got to watch this series as a kid. Back then, I only knew of two episodes. It wasn't until I was an adult, that I found out there were more, a whole lot more. It taught me many important lessons and gentled my heart, I became the person I am today because of the things I learned from this show.

Sometimes I look at this and think, "Why didn't this happen during the first season?" But I think I understand why it had to be: to create a wide assortment of problems for the Fraggles, the Doozers, and the Gorgs. Consider "Let the Water Run" where all the water from Fraggle Rock was gone because Doc had turned all of it off. Had Gobo and Doc been this open to begin with, all Gobo or anyone would have to do is go into "Outer Space," inform him of the problem, and everything would've be all right.

Live on Karen Prell (Red), who currently works at PIXAR & the semi-retired Kathy Mullen (Mokey and Cotterpin) also. Ditto for Dave Goelz (Boober and Uncle Travelling Matt), who is the only left who routinely portrays his Muppet characters. The others have been replaced due to passing away and Frank Oz, while alive, retired from Muppet performing.

Ricky M Well, both Steve Whitmire and Karen Prell perform Sprocket. Steve is the front half and Karen is the back end.
@KBAFourthtime9 жыл бұрын
Is that so?
@TherealRNOwwfpooh9 жыл бұрын
Ricky M Yes. As is always the case with most hand "Muppets", one performer does the upper half (the head) and one hand, whilst another does the opposite hand and lower half (the bottom). Of course, to save on exhaustion from performers, larger characters are a tandem effort, with the Gorgs being voiced off-camera by the main performers using the waldo (the oven mit-like hand device that radio controls the character's head) and the bodies' animated movements being done by an artist well-versed in mime and dance. Full-bodied characters like Big Bird of Sesame Street, however, have the performer themselves (either Carroll Spinney or Matt Vogel) inside the costume, thereby literally becoming the character whom they're portraying. The advances in CGI have allowed for characters now to be rendered using computers and allow for the performers to be the characters remotely using motion capture. Such an example is Sid the Science Kid.

I want to know why Ned Shimmelfinney has to move for his health. Do they live in a highly radioactive area, or is he a drug addict and needs to get away from his routine?
@DimitryRotstein10 жыл бұрын
My best guess is tuberculosis. Indeed, in the old days, doctors often recommended their patients to move to a warm and dry area in order to ease the symptoms. Although the series takes place in a more modern world, the script writer might have had outdated ideas about tuberculosis, or perhaps in Ned's case antibiotics proved ineffective (it happens sometimes, even today).
@xxoxia10 жыл бұрын
Hahaha, that would be a really advanced plot line for a kid's show.

***** In a Q&A session I saw years ago Ned had Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), but it was decided to leave it vague. COPD makes it hard to breath at best and is worsened by environmental factors like air pollution, high moisture, and large pollen counts. So those who can move to small towns in places like Arizona, that are dry have lots of deserts and low populations so have less air pollution. Especially when they get older, COPD is degenerative an worsens with age. This is also why Sprocket in earlier seasons made hacking cough noises when Ned was mentioned, Ned was suppose to start the series as a chain smoker and his health slowly degenerate over time, with him quitting seeming to be fine for a while, then get worse again.
