What a wonderful collection that spans over the years! I’m so glad that there are people dedicated to archiving old products so newer fans of the show can look at the history of the merchandise!

I mostly was acquiring Fraggle Rock plushes for my children, but have multiple books and the Fraggle Rock 25 years DVD set that comes with the fold-out illustrated map. I enjoyed seeing all the other items in your fraggle collection!

Wow, it's amazing to see the packaging again for the Fraggle plush dolls at 2:11. I still have Mokey, Gobo, Red, Boober, and Traveling Matt, but never managed Wembley. I also have the Animal puppet with the blinking eyes displayed on the right. I'd also like to thank you for your defense of Mokey as far as merchandising goes - she was always my favourite. She's also one of the few gripes I have about the _Back to the Rock_ reboot of the series; I'm not a fan of spastic Mokey as they've reinvented her. She and Red were perfect opposites that complimented each other in the original series. Now? Mokey must've found some discarded Adderall in the Trash Heap. (And just because I mentioned them, my two other problems with the reboot: 1.) Marjorie's voice. I've been very lenient with the character voices over the years as their originators either passed away or left the show, but Marjorie's is where I draw the line. I'm sure the kind lady who voices her now is a lovely person, but absolutely no Yiddish inflection anymore? Lazy. And if anyone from the show should read this: You can still fix this issue by referencing a plot point from the original series: Moving the Trash Heap to another location on the Gorg's property changes her vocal accents! Send the voice actress to work with an inflection coach and start fresh with Season 3. She desperately needs to sound like an 80 year-old Yiddish drag queen again! 2.) Castle Gorg redesign: I must have been a really exceptionally different child, but I studied the architecture of the Gorg's castle in depth back then and I still find it fascinating now. Originally, the design intentionally featured a mishmash of different cultural architecture (the Russian onion dome, etc) so a child watching the original series in another country wouldn't think it was too American, Canadian, etc. (if anyone shouldn't know, _Fraggle Rock_ was conceptualized as a program that could be customized to broadcast around the globe, with a "local" Doc and Sprocket in other countries with the rest of the show's elements simply redubbed into another language). The new redesign simply looks like a repurposed Hobbiton setpiece from one of Peter Jackson's _Lord of the Rings_ films. _(If anyone actually made it through everything here, thanks. I needed to get that out somewhere.)_

Wow - What a coincidence! Just yesterday I was relaying the plot of _Marooned_ (2:38) and how dark that episode was. Also, to answer a question at 9:48, the first creature has antennae, but I'd say both that one _and_ the image after are likely both inspired by the designs of Philo and Gunge (The Trash Heap's sidekicks - NYEAHHHHH),

Who was Doc? Was the Lighthouse part re filmed for the UK? I remember Fulton Mackay as the lighthouse keeper in the UK.
@MuppetStuffBlog Жыл бұрын
Doc is the human character in the US and Canadian versions. The Doc and sprocket segments were refilmed for each of the various countries that originally carried the series

2002, I joined the Air Force & my parents made me get rid of my entire collection of Happy Meal Tiny Toons & Fraggle Rock toys before leaving for the service. May be worth a lot now. I should have disagreed with them.

Do you happen to have the drum set for Fraggle Rock? I got that one year during Christmas and man I wish I still had it. I destroyed it just playing with it to much. Yeah drumming it but also ramming my fist through the bass drum. I don't know why I did it but man I wished I hadn't.

Apple put up the money for the “Rock On Shorts” and to stream the original series in order to boost their known Children’s IP. The shorts proved successful enough for them to green light a full reboot

@@MuppetStuffBlog Great info didn’t know that. I have to actually check that new Fraggle rock series out I have Apple + but I really don’t think much of it.
