anyone else playing this in first position and feeling guilty but enjoying it ...?
@az-bp7ns11 ай бұрын
😂Love your comment.. I started out in first position..couple of weeks ago.. And today, actually just 3 minutes ago.. I tried some bars in third position. I am nowhere close to learning thir position.. But it's such a beautiful piece.. I love it. And I can not do vibrato.. anythingfancy yet.. But I love to play it anyway. The reason why I came back right now is to study the fingering of Herrn mauerer
@nupsiwulst994611 ай бұрын
😂 I so know that feeling! But also the great joy of coming back to a beautiful piece like this after getting technically better…. and still enjoying it _so_ much! 🥰

I am trying to learn this in the correct positions, but I do sneak in an open D here and there while I'm getting my shift set up :D Totally get you though, my only golden rule is though... No ascending open E's longer than a crotchet. "Use the 4th (finger) Luke."
@cackslopper53219 ай бұрын
But agree. Nice sounding 1st pos is better than wonky 3rd. But we gotta rip off those training wheels one day. And this is a beauty to take that journey with.

Any pro violinists here? The second minim in the second measure, (F, 4th note). Sounds like Mr Frag plays 2 crotchets here, using an upbow. I presume this is done with pressure, but does this technique have a name, so I can research it? ( Or am I hearing things :D )
@cameron_coraggio7 ай бұрын
I think of this as sort of a romantic slide. He uses less bow weight as he glides down to the F very smoothly. If you need to do research on it, search romantic slides.
