You outdone yourself in this one, I love the effects you gave the video, as well as the story and how it played out. I'm so thankful Cirno came to the Makai if only to reunite Shinki with Alice again. Me being a big fan of the PC-98 era , this video I appreciate so much. This was just so touching and heartwarming, I can see why this got some folks here to tear up in happiness, the feels are truly real. So that should be a strong sign that you've been doing things right. That being said, I'd certainly love to see what more you can showcase in the future. Thank you so much for this video. ^^

Sadly, I don't think ZUN will bring back PC-98 characters. ZUN has stated that it be awkward trying to fit old PC-98 characters into newer stories and has declared most of those characters to "retired." That said, he has made numerous references to them and its likely that he will continue making them. There's also a chance that he'll give them a modern makeover before allowing them to make very minor cameos(either in the background as non-interactive entities(NIEs) or in the endings)

Thankfully, I'm not against the idea of retcon for them, which I think is totally feasible. As they were, probably not going to come back and I am perfectly cool with that, so it can happen to more than just Alice or Yuuka, it's not impossible, especially when the Lake of Blood from PC-98 shows up in the prose works. ZUN has stated that the PC-98 characters still exist, but like you said, can't be in their awkward existing forms given some designs are also lifted from existing works like Alice's design being lifted from Shin Megami Tensei, Shinki's outfit being lifted from another manga, and characters like Ellen who are just straight up lifted from another work. The minor appearances I don't mind whatsoever, like how during the 20th anniversary livestream they played PC-98. Or with the livestream showcasing official character relationships charts, where Mima showed up officially endorsed by ZUN as someone Marisa looked up to as a mentor. Even if in reality it's passing, ZUN is at least very aware the love for PC-98 is there and showed with retired-in-pond Genjii that all he needs for them to show is to think of them and how to include them.

It's about a year since I have seen this video for a first time. Then I had a bit strange principle like "don't comment videos of unknown people as they sometimes may not want it", but now I finally thought that it was not a correct approach. So now, after one of countless rewatches of this, I decided to finally restore the justice and write something what this video does deserve. I haven't cried when I watched Gone with the Wind, Titanic and Song of the Sea (which seems to be some of most emotional world-wide known movies for me). I haven't cried even after watching Steins;Gate, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Rozen Maiden Traeumend (that's, in my opinion, are the most emotional anime series though). I even haven't cried when I became familiar with White Flower of Summer, Wiccan & Swordsgirl and Diamond in the Rough (the most serious and heart-touching walfas series as I think). WHY DO I CRY EVERY TIME I RE-WATCH THIS?.. Genius. Definitely genius, as most of your videos (Picture, To Catch a Cat, Apology, Company) are, but this one is genius squared, no, maybe cubed. I don't even have any words to describe how it feels for me. It is definitely not a "momentarily feeling", because it longs for me even for a year after first watching of this (I remember it clearly, because this video (along with "Sakuya - The tale of an unfilial human" and "Requiem Eternam" (sic)) was the one that engaged me to write a fanfic of 350 pages ever featuring some ideas from this video as a cameo (I hope you would not be against this?), and first part of this fanfic was ready at July 2016 and published at August 2016). Along with a bunch of consequences that followed after re-watches of this (for example, the final song of this video, which does amazingly fit the moments when Shinki and Alice meet each other again after being separated for long, turned me to watch "Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora" previously unknown to me, and to try to figure out how to play ED song on a guitar), this video made a significant change in reception of walfas videos for me - from treating them as "just some moderately funny jokes" to a strict knowledge that one may do incredibly interesting, serious and, of course, heartbreaking masterpieces of animation art using create.swf. So, I would like to greatly thank you for all this!

Wow, thank you for such an attention to my work! Although I see average level of present-day automatic translators as low, and while it is enough to translate technical literature, these translators basically fail while operating with typical fictional text - despite of this, I hope you will understand what I meant in my text, at least in common. I hope someday I'll find a time to translate some of my works to English, as sharing them only for Russian Touhou fandom because of language seems to be a bit unfair for me, when I think of those who can't read it, but... Looks like I should be Sakuya for this, because for now I see no time for it at all, given that I can't stop time and use it for translating. :)

Well, this was a pleasant surprise to wake up to. These definitely get better each time. Loving the effects in the Makai sky. While the ending was clear from Shinki's introduction that we would be seeing that, the music and pacing of the end scene made me tear up a bit. Although, Shinki being a complete nutter is a new one for me, so good job there. One thing that bothered me about the animation is that during the flash sequences, the background seemed to be stretched vertically. If there were some way to prevent that, then that'd be great.

AlgaeNymph I know, it's very different for the all powerful creator of Makai.I like to imagine Shinki's world as an alternate parallel dimension. I really like the multiple timeline dimensions theory. For this to work, however, we need to assume that Cirno's world Shinki is still in her world Makai, which means that there would be two Shinkis. One from Cirno's world, and one from the dystopian destroyed timeline.
