Thanks for a good review, I've tried to order invictus aqua from rabane's online store but they only ship to England, Germany and France so I can't get hold of it in Sweden. Rabbane does not listen loud enough to their customers as they limit sales and quantity. I am very disappointed with Rabbane

Both 2016 and 2018 were great, but I actually felt like 2018 was an upgrade and actually better than the 2016. Still, I don't have 2016 anymore and I still have 2018, so I might pick up a bottle of this at some point if it releases in the US.

@@lucasaresky9059I’ve never smelled 2016, however I had a bottle of 2018 and never had any issues with the scent. The atomizer was trash and stopped spraying about halfway through the bottle, but never had any issues with the scent. Smelled rich, performance was great on my skin.

I was really happy to get the 2024 Aqua. I got into the fragrance community after 2016 so I only ever knew Aqua as a long past fairytale and wasn't up for paying the jacked prices for it. I actually love it and am reaching for it all the time. It is absolutely perfect for spring, I find it very refreshing for being a sweet scent. Its nice that you can only get it directly from the Rabanne website, that way every Tom, Dick and Harry won't be walking past smelling like me.

i had the o.g 2016 aqua and it ran out 2 years later, seen this was on the Rabanne website and straight away got 2 bottles to keep from memory it smells exactly the same but hard to know if it is different maybe due to ifra restricting something that was previously in it and has had to be replaced or if Chris's bottle has just matured over time.... either way it smells bloody amazing lol

The difference is not because of the maceration. I tested a brand new sealed 2014 invictus edt against 2022 bottle edt. The same exact difference with the aqua versions. More depth with my older batch. But I still wanna get the aqua

I haven't smelt 2016 for 6 years, but upon smelling this I was not wowed like I was 6 years ago. I think there's a difference in quality that makes this 2024 version okay but not amazing.

still on the 2016, as we have enough other fragrances to give a wear, before they die on the shelf. And youre absolutely right. the aqua 2016 had a light airy vibe. but it kept on going, with whiffs on the skin when it heated up.. It wasnt like original invictus, it stayed a bit backgrounded and airy. but it was long lasting

Yeah, one should take hype with a pinch of salt. Bought sauvage elixir blind, and am very disappointed. It's not great, not even good. The only thing it has going is that it lasts and projects.

Got this first day of release. I asked Rabanne for a few extra samples and they must have made a mistake as they sent 20x invictus 5ml miniatures, 20x 1 million elixir 5ml miniatures, 20x phantom intense 5ml miniatures and 5x fame intense miniatures 😅 literally a huge box full

Somewhat coincidentally, I was recently going through my closeted fragrances from yesteryear and found an original bottle of Zara's Teahupoo which was their take on Invictus Aqua 2016 at the time. Originally, it was a blind buy and I absolutely despised a certain synthetic compound in there that reminded me of a solvent in a plastic factory. 😂 Offered it to friends and nobody wanted it. BUT...wouldn't you know it, after sitting in a closet for 6 years, that compound has magically vanished and what's left is so well rounded that it basically just smells like a soapier version of the original Invictus Aqua. Really quite pleasant. Seems like patience won the day this time around. The trade-off is weaker performance somehow??? 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Ahh the mysteries of life.

I mean I have fragrances that are 30 years old that smell great still. I’m sure Invictus Aqua has very few natural Citrus notes (the thing that usually goes bad) so I’d guess it’s fine
