Watching your unboxing while I am unboxing mine. Got it on a good deal and I am absolutely blown away by it. So complex and dark and sweet. A real masterpiece of a fragrance. The bottle has an unnatural weight to it that makes it feel really expensive as it should be at this price point. Looking forward for winter time to test its full potential 💪

Kilian is my favorite house. I own apple brandy, single malt, rolling in love(Kilian autographed), black phantom, love dont be shy, sacred wood. I owned angels share but sold it off because the smell wasn't unique and smells alot like br540ex but also has poor performance. My next Kilian purchase will be intoxicated. Then ill have all the kilians I really enjoy. To me back to black smells like baby butt cream or new diapers HAHA. I cant get past it

A beautifully elegant choice, Chris. I was fortunate enough to receive the full presentation of Black Phantom As a birthday gift a few years back which in its self sent my interest into perfumery to another level.Interesting to note that the cap and plate on my bottle is silver not gold possibly to match the key and lock of the lacquered box. I’m also extremely interested in Angels Share the note breakdown looks divine and the presentation once again looking like a cut crystalled cognac glass Is beautifully refined.

Ive got a decant of black phantom and i came accross insomnia by seferi and martinez which i have to say i bought based on the notes. To my amatuer nose theyve done a fantastic job. Im not sure which one even came first but the insomnia one though is to my nose and on my skin thicker slighly darker still has those beautiful sweet choc and dark rum vibes a stellar of a fragarnce to me and next to my killian decant i honestly cant tell the difference defninitely worth checking out if you like this kind of dna. I can understand being a collector that you wanted the original. For me, I have smelled it side by side with Dark Knight and they smell the same, Dark Knight having a longer duration. It is still one of my favourite fragrance, and one of the best clone from Alexandria fragrances..... do not really need to spend that money on a Killian when the juice I already have smells identical and last longer on my skin. Happy for your acquisition ... enjoy.

I’m a Kilian fans! Love the style of their perfumes. Black Phantom is my favorite from them but my first bottle was Straight to Heaven then the Black Phantom was the second bottle I got. Great choice to start your Kilian journey. I also love Love don’t be Shy and Angels Share. I waited for weeks to get my Angels Share bottle. I adore it a lot!

I love this video very much! Felt exactly the same when got my Rolling in Love. Sampled those by Kilian fragrances a lot, but when finally got a bottle... well. It was just amazing! Right now I'm dreaming of getting Black Phantom, sampled it, but don't have. And glad to see such an honest reaction of unpackaging. I don't feel so strange when I'm opening a new fragrance anymore, haha. Btw, Angels' Share is AMAZING!

Loved the video. Personally By Kilian is by far my favorite niche fragrance house. Black phantom is so good that to tell the truth, back in August while on vacation in Mexico I wore it for the first time at a rainy night. And that was the only time I wore it because two days after that the 2 small samples I had of it were gone. Someone stole them. Now I want a full bottle of it as well as Straight To Heaven. Those two along with Love Don’t Be Shy (which I do own) have gotten me absolutely incredible reactions and compliments from many people specially from my wife. I know who stole my samples and I’m glad that they didn’t steal my full bottle of Love Don’t Be Shy as well

Kilian is my favourite fragrance brand I’m guessing as I have the most from them in my collection. To me they are the best for boozy gourmand type scents. My favourite is straight to heaven extreme but single malt is a close second place 🙂

I love Black Phantom! (mine has the gunmetal grey cap though). I own it along with Back to Black which was my first Kilian bottle. Just on a side note Chris- don’t write BP off in the summer! I, like you, initially thought it’s a winter fragrance, too heavy and sweet for warm weather... but, thinking of where all the main notes are associated with, the Caribbean, I thought I would try it in the warm weather. I was pleasantly surprised, the warm weather brought out a different side to the fragrance. I now consider this fragrance perfect for a dressed up summer evening or night time event, as well as the cool or cold months. The clones in the warm weather might turn into a syrupy mess but the real deal works wonders, like a tropical evening dream.

I got a sample of black phantom last week and when I first smelled it I was like.. wtf?? How can anyone like it? 20 min after applying it onto my arm I was shocked how beautiful this scent became. I kept on wearing it everyday for 1 week until I run out of that sample, to make sure if I really like it. I must say the opening was a bit harsh for my nose but after couple of minutes it transformed into something that I can’t even describe. It’s a masterpiece. Just ordered a full bottle :)

I figured that was the one that you got, Chris, considering how you love your sweet frags. You and I are pretty similar in that regard. Great purchase! As far as the clones vs. originals go, for me it is like this: it's based on how far you are willing to go for a fragrance based on budget, affordability, and whether something works on your skin well after testing. And it is based on the original fragrance and if the scent has been reformulated or not. Some people can afford a Kilian and pay $200-300 for one with no issue, but some can't and may only be able to try samples or one of the more affordable clones that are there. Maybe later they can get the genuine article, but for now a certain scent may be good enough. After being in this a long time, I understand the artistry of perfumery and relish that experience dearly, but I also try to look for value based upon how a fragrance reacts on my skin (and if that scent is glorious) and whether the price justifies that outcome. So if it is in the original perfume, that's great. If it is in an inspiration (if the original is lacking in performance), that's good, too. It's about the value proposition to me. I'm not going to hang a Mona Lisa in a room that wouldn't bring attention to the painting and its level of class (if I could afford it in the first place, lol).

Well. I have just bought 2 partial bottles of this, one like yours gold plaque gold cap and my other is all black. sprayed them on each wrist and the black is darker deeper and richer. low and behold the black is the original and gold is a reformation apparently. have you tried the all black bottle Chris? thoughts?

Have to BLIND BUY one of the Kilians. Decants are to extensive to try them all. It would cost me 80e just to try them. I like dark fragrances,artistic but it has to be a little more versatile. No need for summer usage. Have those in liters. Spring,fall,nights,winter - KILIAN?

I went to Saks and tried 3 or 4 different kinds by Killian,especially Black Fantom, and was not impressed with them at all! But I only tried them on paper test strips, and not wearing them. And I learned that that can make a big difference, because I didn't like Dolce Gabbana Light Blue Intense on a test strip, but wearing it caused me to love it! But I do think that Killian is over rated and too expensive to even give it a chance!

I sampled 4 Killian so my guess would be Black Phantom, it was my favorite. Dark Lord was leather and a little boring, Back to Black was funky patchouli my least of the 4, and Straight to Heaven was super bizarrely simple... just straight Cedar wood nothing else, but actually pretty nice, tied with Black Phantom. I didn't consider it boozy though, it was like a very rounded smell of weak light fake chocolate like the kind you would get in a chocolate tea, and a bit of weak light white leather couch smell but not leathery, all perfectly rounded and blended.

The three Kilians i own and absolutely love are Black Phantom, Straight to heaven extreme and Angels share... Love the way Kilian is doing the boozy thang!! But i must say that Black Phantom is my favorite of the three. Still on my list are Love dont be shy, good girl gone bad extreme, woman in gold and rolling in love....
