Your setup is fine, never really had a problem with it myself. As far as fragrance addiction goes, I know it well. When you're really passionate about something like this, it really can end up being like an addiction because you can get caught up in always trying something new instead of just enjoying what you already have. There are so many fragrances that I see every day and I want to try them all, and when I see them I can feel them tapping into my craving for more fragrances. I start to think about whether that fragrance will be discontinued, whether it will go up in price, and then I come back down to earth and remind myself that I have so many fragrances already, and that I don't need it yet.

Honestly Joy, I love the videos. I think the “prettiness and high production” is overrated in fragrance. Mostly we are trying to describe a smell through video which is no easy task. A fancy camera does not change the description at all. Keep it up brother, love your work.

Your channel popped up in my feed after i watched some TLTG reviews. I only started watching reviews to make a purchase for a gift but i do have a appreciation for nice fragrances. You now make up 90% of my watchlist in your niche, keep up the great work. Ive heard of the other channels but i would never watch them, most of the channels i watch are sub 80-90k so that counts for nothing.

People want and expect more and from you Joy due to your context, knowledge, excellent reviews, and humor. That's a great thing and that should show that you are appreciated for your hard work. At the same time, you are human and have to be a little self with your time and make sure Joy is healthy and okay. You don't need the new gadgets and the the best 🎙️ mic/lighting. We reviewers tune in because we all have became fans and love listening to you toward each fragrance and personal life stories. Keep up the good work buddy 👍.

Congrats for your job. You are reviewing all fragrances.. because you love them most of the reviewers only do list of 10 this, 10 that, bug compliments list.. lists lists lists because that is what get more views i think.. I even listened once that if they give a review of a fragrance that people dont care, youtube will not show the channel anymore or something like that.. so appreciate you for doing it for love people who really like perfumes dont want to only see list of better perfumes.. that is for who does not know much..

I appreciate your honesty regarding improving your production quality. It’s fine. Cell phone, few lights, handheld microphone and nothing but fragrances. I would love more fragrances in my collection. I have gone into debt (not credit card debt but using some of my bank savings) to build a small collection of 40-50 large colognes, 24 travel-sized decants, and 30 samples. It doesn’t seem enough. I focused on clones and cheapies, and now I regret it! I wish I focused on quality. I wish I had a Wish list with a priority and corresponding buying schedule. Thanks, Amin. DannyFragrance.

25 years ago I was enthusiastic about Hi-Fi. I bought a Hi-Fi system for 6, 500$. I remember clearly the owner of the Hi-Fi store telling me - "you are a technophile, not an audiophile. An audiophile spends that money on CDs, not on a system". This remark registered. Today I am enthusiastic about scents. I have less than 20 FBs, but I have dozens of samples. If it's scents you are crazy about, a sample (or small decant) is enough. People that buy many FBs are not perfume lovers, but rather are addicted to buying stuff, to packaging, to brand names. If all you care about is the juice, a sample is good enough. A bottle worthy scent is only a scent you know for sure you would wear/layer frequently. BTW, since I layer all the time, 15 FBs can create hundreds of scents !!! for example, today I've layered 3 perfumes in a certain way, and I've created a very unique and wonderful scent (my own scent/creation).

At first: Hope Allah will make all your dreams come true, you have a lovely heart and good intentions. It made me happy listen to your thoughts and I share the same opinion even if Im not producing any fragrance videos, but these are valid for everything that we do in life. I like your videos cause of the content quality, not because of the Audio/Video quality. However most people tend to watch videos that are nicely edited etc....and you would catch much more attention by "newbies"...but I guess your core viewers are not "newbies". To be honest, i think you're setup is part of the charm:) I tend to believe channels like yours way more:) I just know that some of the fragrance channels look like they got payed for their oppinions. You got a high level of trust with people because it seems you have no dog in the race. A big part of succes is customer goodwill, and you got heaps of that, i thought you were smart and did this on purpose:) So to sum it up... you have the customer goodwill by not being a spoiled rich man, you're overly exited about your field of work. You seem to have extended knowledge on the subject, you seem to be a soft spoken honest good man. Here is the reality check buddy:) if you started out differently like sitting in front of a new desk with neon lights in the background with all your bottles neatly stacked:) you wouldn't have the succes you have today:)!!! FACTS!! Now you've grown on your followers you could upgrade and have as or have more succes than you are having now. I only subscribed to 2 channels (i watch the rest too) Gent Scents and you:) because you 2 seem genuine to me. I have been searching for a signature scent lately after i've outgrown my signature scents (44) and because of you i stumbled on Rasasi sotoor waaw.... ffing thank you for that buddy:) i'm the ffing man living in the Netherlands and NOBODY is wearing it:)!!
