I do like Demi’s fragrance. I think it’s a good winter/fall scent. Definitely overpriced but I feel fragrance du bois, in general, is overpriced

I also have a few FDB perfumes. I love Oud Violet Intense the most. This fragrance is really incredible, mysterious, unique. This must be what it smells like in the movie Avatar on the sacred trees.

I'm huge FDB fan and as such, of course I have to share my collection. Sahraa Oud, Oud Bleu Intense, NY Intense, Santal Complet and new arrival of AMBER INTENSE. I'm totally in love with Amber Intense. I think its hugely underrated amber fragrance that deserves to be mentioned more.

My favorites are Minuit Demi, Oud Jaune Intense, Santal Complet and Siberian Rose. I only have a full bottle of the first. I'd love to try Oud Violet Intense. That will be coming with my next sample haul!

Nice selection and I agree with most of what you say. I also like Orange and Noir, but strangely don't care as much for Parisian or Sahraa. I just bought their Borneo Oud, which is mesmerising pure Oud, and smells of pine needles, ginger, white and flowers, honey, dried fruits, cacao and sweet dark paint thinner or shoe polish (in a great way). Together the closest thing I can think of is Dalwhinnie Wiskey, but in perfumes it might be Kilian Single Malt, but with a deeper petroleum and floral/chocolate kind of base. Gives some idea of the type of Oud they use and why their oud perfumes are more elegant than skanky.

I don't hear about Fragrance Du Bois often. (Guess that means it truly is niche fragrance 😉) But when I do, I try to be open minded about it. This is a great video and for the recommendation for the men and women. I will definitely consider these when I sample them first and the ones I like make a purchase. London Spice is my favorite overall fragrance. It’s very uplifting, and fresh with a touch of spice. Don’t think spicebomb , or rehab with this one - It’s not nearly as boozy. It splits the median between Fresh , and Spicy. It is a piece of art as well - Maybe my best looking bottle as well. Its perfect ALL YEAR round.

Oud Bleu Intense is such a unique scent, probably my most favorite from Fragrance du Bois 🥰 Cavort and Secret Tryst are both very sexy and sensual fragrances, love them also. The next perfume on my to-buy-list from the brand is Sahraa.. but that pricetag is scary 😒😢

Hi Josephine! I own Cavort and love it, it’s a beast of a fragrance. How’s the longevity of Santal Complet for you? I blind bought it (I know, I know😩) based on reviews and although it’s smells heavenly, I couldn’t smell it on me and it just seemed to disappear very quickly. Was very disappointed and ended up returning it.

Ha, interesting. I only have a sample of Santal Complete and I love it. Although it may not be the longest lasting perfume, I can still smell it on me a few hours after spraying it. It's certainly on my perfume wishlist. I do hope that I won't be disappointed given the price tag...

I purchased Santal Complet and returned it as well. Could not smell it on myself but my husband could and he gingerly suggested I not wear that fragrance....he did not like it at all. Things like this happen but was my first.

Yes, I feel that Santal Complet is more of a skin scent. As someone who usually sprays on clothes, this is the only perfume that I have to spray on skin. It smells better on skin than clothes and because it is so weak, I wear it just for myself at this point.

Why? I think being sponsored is a win for all of us. It also seems like you are questioning Josephine’s credibility and authenticity. Being sponsored supports her channel and allows her the opportunity to sample and review a number of fragrances without a huge outlay on her part.

@@catherinelynnfraser2001 I’m not saying that Josephine is influenced - I’m just saying that there can be a risk of brand expectation from the review when they are paying for it - or at least a perception of brand expectation. That will always be a factor whether it is true or not when a brand like FDB sponsor a video about their own products. That is why some reviewers refuse to accept gifts or sponsorships from brands without condition that they can say anything they want about the products. Some brands don’t like to give fragrances if you will say negative stuff about them. Besides, buying fragrances is a cost of revenue for fragrance reviewers. They review, you watch, they get paid, you buy from links, they get paid

That said, I bought Cavort without knowing a thing about it, and it is indeed a stunner. I found this review bc I was wondering what other people thought of it. I have never even heard of this lady before today.
