I despise Tom Ford scents and I am sure I am in the EXTREME minority as it seems everyone faints over them

I don’t think you’re in the minority. High-end colognes are much like high-end food and alcohol (caviar, foie gras, $500 wine, etc.). It’s an acquired taste. You don’t notice the subtle nuances to the scent/flavor until you have lots of experience with different scents/foods. Most people who aren’t experienced with colognes will think Tom Ford and Creed smell WAAAYYY to strong and unorthodox
