Fragrance primer - interesting. I use unscented lotion or a lotion that complements certain fragrances. Westin White Tea works really well under Erba Pura-type scent profiles. Someone gifted me Bath and Body Works Brown Sugar and Fig which works with heady orientals. I recently started wearing perfume at bedtime because it helps me to sleep, and it's the time I remember to moisturize 😂 I wake up smelling great. More budget than what you would use but still goes well with a range frags.

I've been experimenting with layering fragrances. Previously I would use Eucerin lotion because it's unscented. I would put 1-2 pumps in the palm of my hand and then spray my perfume 2-5 times into that. Rub my hands together and rub on my arms. Then I would go over that with the same perfume plus another one. But I was up late one night and saw on someone's KZbin short that she used the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Mist and Nemat Vanilla musk fragrance oil. The Aveeno by itself smells good. But mixed with the Nemat Vanilla musk feels being like a luxurious hug. My only issue is that I wonder about still using the lotion method as well as the Aveeno method with everything? Meaning if i should apply the lotion first and then the Aveeno body oil? So this week I've tested the lotion method with every Kayali fragrance that was in the sampler kit that I ordered. I've found tbat the Vanilla 28 layers well with everyone of the other Kayali perfumes and the Nemat Vanilla musk fragrance oil. Vanilla 28 is the gift that keeps on giving. Lol. But normally in skincare you start with a lighter product like a serum and then a thicker product like a moisturizer or lotion. So I've applied the Aveeno and then the lotion and the lotion and then the Aveeno. It works either way. I had no idea that layering fragrances would be this much fun. I could tell you a story about when one of my brothers first got married. His wife refused to have him leave the house to go places with her with ashy legs. And, like me, she liked men to wear cologne. My brother would use her Victoria's Secret body lotion and put on his cologne. He said he was "creating his own scent." His wife just wanted him to use lotion. Not her lotion. Lol.
