Hey Daver... this is a great idea to cover what a casual fragrance is. I think it is great to know classifications and for me it is essential to learn the 'rules" so that one can bend and even break them from time to time. I like to mix it up. A tux with a light hearted twist, a Summer linen with a dash of unexpected drama can be interesting. But you do have to have a handle on the guidelines to make it work. I think you have hit all the right notes with your choices. Bravo Dave and Cheers.

4711 if you want to bathe in something before going to the beach, Prada pour Homme intense for smelling dark and delicious anytime except for the summer, and yesterday haze by imaginary authors for going to a cafe or apple picking!!

Funerals in Hawaii are a little different though...lol A black suit would just be weird. It's a difficult subject and I think you did a good job in explaining the essential concept Dave. To me, I guess casual could mean culturally unambiguous, allergy appropriate, inoffensive and more discrete....but I suppose there are a couple niche lovers that might disagree. I.e. if you love oud, please don't invite me to your house. LOL

yes, that's one aspect of it. Also fresh, maybe with tonka in it. There's a type of smell that is identified with the "cologne section" of a mall.
