Love the garden setting. Earlier in the year I emptied three bottles, moved on five and have purchased eight bottles, so ended up even🤷♀️😂 I did buy the Eau de Boujee travel sprays (7.5ml) and two samples sets, one from Chasing Scents and the other was the Marissa Zappas discovery set. No more purchases planned this year for me💛

Love the setting Pep! And ruthlessness will always have its place, so no need to try a few new things now and again. 😉Actually made a couple nifty trades this year myself, despite technically not decluttering anything in over 2 years. 😆😬 So yeah, that's me just trying to justify my own consumerism. 🤣 Appreciate you sharing!

❤Beautiful background for filming, love the lush garden/tree views & bird song, the lighting too. Thanks for sharing your year’s adds / subtracts… In an effort to curate a collection that truly reflects what I like & use, I primarily give what I don’t use away; otherwise, with my other more valuable frags that I’m ready to part with they’ll sit in boxes awaiting re sell.

It’s hard to manage compulsive purchases. Lately, what I am doing is, as silly as may sound, I buy back up bottles of fragrances I am enjoying most. At my age, I am thinking more of: would I wear these fragrances in 5-10 years. Anyway. My additions this years were: Le Lion, Musc Ravageur, Habit Rouge (prive and Parfum). Some fragrances that left the collection: Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir and Le Parfum, Dior Homme Sport 2017, Sauvage Elixir. Cheers

What a beautiful backdrop. The overcast weather almost makes me forget the fact that if I ever set foot in Australia I’d melt instantaneously. To answer your question at the end, I’m new to the hobby this year and so I haven’t encountered the issue of decluttering yet. I’m trying to purchase things that I not only love, but would actively be excited to wear. The one exception to that would be the bottle of Equipage Geranium I just received, a blind-buy made in no small part because of this channel 😊 Luckily, I’m thrilled with it and I can’t wait for warmer weather to roll back around. I shudder to think about a future where I have to reactivate my Facebook to sell off things I’ve fallen out of love with. I’d almost rather just stew in my regret and deal with the perfumes mocking me from my shelf than that

I agree, I dont like seeing bottles that I don't reach for very often. I'll eventually sell some on Ebay most likely but my nose could change a little and maybe I will enjoy some of them more if I just give it some time. I like to spray the ones I don't wear often on a blotter to smell throughout the day. To me, there's a limit to a collection because I want to wear the ones I enjoy often, not once every few months because I have too many to choose from if that makes sense.

I’m at 56 bottles and probably using up 5 in next 2-3 months than I’ll be down to 51 ..I rotate 12 perfumes per season . My goal is eventually go down to 25-30 perfumes . When I had a big collection , around 110 , I had anxiety and kept thinking I will never use up any of my collection in my lifetime .

Overall, that sounds like a great year. I'm up to 85+ bottles, and I've been having the same discussions in my head. I need to trim this collection a little. I've noticed that at 85 perfumes, I'm not wearing all my fragrances enough and I'm finding it hard to cycle through them. Here's to 2025!

Hey Pep, I’ve had similar issues with selling fragrances and it’s really put me off so I understand what you mean about the hassle of it. We all get to this point at some time or other, this year I've just concentrated on acquiring Serge Lutens fragrances, discontinued and current line. It worked for me as I wasn't totally satisfied with my previous approach of getting a fragrance I really wanted but would then soon be setting my target elsewhere, here, there or whichever. It's been a fruitful year and I'm really pleased with my purchases in my travels. Also I managed to offload some fragrances that I wasn't wearing, although beautiful I hardly felt the need to wear. Traversee du Bospore, Antonia's Flowers and Rauque to name a few. There's even a pleasure in reducing the collection which is something I never envisaged. Beautiful setting in this video.

I have been playing with the Prada carnation. It is very strong and sweet to my inexperienced nose. I put it away for a while.I pulled it back out recently and did a light spray and enjoyed it very much so will keep experimenting with it. I have no idea how to buy used perfumes or sell mine so I mostly try and be careful with my purchases as I learn. Often as not this is not a success. I am learning what I like and what I dont though my fickle nose keeps changing. I am trying to understand the fragrance that I have but am still prone to an impulse buy, I have a birthday coming up and of course feel am deserving of a fragrance treat, I am hesitant as to what that very expensive purchase should be. First world problem and a rather lovely one to have.
