Strongest rose ever: Oud al Layl from Arabiyat. One spray, not more. In the back, never front collar. Gorgeous powerfull rose on a wood, soap and sugar backbone. Coming from someone who wears Portrait of a Lady as a signature scent.

Ah, I adore SO many rose scents. Nahema (Guerlain) is at the top of the list. A few more: Sa majesté la rose (Serge Lutens) , Rose de nuit (Serge Lutens) , Ce Soir Ou Jamais (Annick Goutal) , Aqua Allegoria Rosa Magnifica (Guerlain) , Zita (Paula Dorf) , Madison Square Park ( Bond No 9 ) , Nantucket Brier (Crabtree & Evelyn) they did some nice rose-noted scents as did L'Occitane. Crown Rose (The Crown Perfumery Co.) is another favorite ; impossible to find but incredibly lovely.

NIce topic, I started to like rose not too long ago, I like of course Egoiste, Habit Rouge, Profumun roma- Rosae Mundi really strong with patchouli that I like to wear even in summer, Atelier Des Ors- Rose Omeyyade really cozy elegant for winter, and on my wish list is Perris montecarlo Rose de Taif EDP and Extrait, Nicolai parfumeur Rose Royal

I love an interesting rose. I wore YSL Elle and Stella McCartney Stella in my 20’s. Still enjoy these many many years later. My current favourite rose is Epic from Amouage.

Somebody here mentioned Egoiste and I have to agree, although it's more rosewood than rose to me. Andy Tauer's discontinued Une Rose Chyprée is HG material but by the time I decided I needed a bottle, he had discontinued it 😢. Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection by ELdO is an interesting metallic (blood) rose with lovely warm base notes.

I had no idea I loved Rose until I realized a third of my collection is Rose based, or Rose centric 😂. I never seek it out, it finds me and seduces me. I’m big on white florals, so I’m surprised I have less of that 🤔😲🤣. Hope you enjoyed your birthday and happy belated birthday to you! 🥂🍰❤️

Happy Christmas, if you celebrate it! Scherzo's rose note smells similar to ATH's in Onyx and old Luna, I think. And I get a lot of candy smell from it, but like salt water taffy, not too sweet

I've always struggled with the note of rose. But you mentioned some that I've come to love, like Scherzo and Atomic rose. Also really love Delina Exclusif by PdM, Hibiscus Mahajad by Maison Crivelli and Nefs by Nishane. Though, Nefs is such a well blended rose oud combo fragrance that I can hardly smell the rose in it 😅

Ah I love rose so much! I'm much more interested in Rose forward scents that are a bit more dynamic than the classic clean girl/granny/soapy rose so its really interesting to get the perspective of someone like you who isn't a "rose lover". I own Scherzo, Egoiste and have an old bottle of Portrait that I'm saving for special occasions since the reformulation. Tom Fords Noir de Noir and MFK Oud Silk Mood are some of my favourites. I really enjoy Middle Eastern rose, though I agree the rose/oud combo is everywhere (but I'm not mad about it!). Satin Mood and Swiss Arabians unisex Shagaf Oud make me feel like a dessert which I kind of strangely enjoy when its really cold out. I also really like the rose and pink pepper combinations in Kayali's Pink Diamond, YSL Tuxedo, and Lettre de Pushkar from Ella K. There is something about enhancing the silkiness of the rose oils in a perfume that I go mad for! I'm thinking of getting Rose Omeyade from Atelier des Ors in the new year but I still have to get my nose on La Perla and Une Nuit Nomade. Excellent video Clemence! Nice theme , Clemance! My top favorite rose fragrance is Amouage Lyric man . Best fresh rose scent ever made! Portrait of a Lady is nice ! I also like Cartier's Declaration D un Soir (very intresting interpretation)

Haha, I feel the same. I often say that I don't really like rose fragrances, I don't like the realistic ones... But then I go on and love some great rose fragrances! Adore Scherzo, Atomic Rose, Nuwa... and a lot more really!

You look so stunning today. I love roses but my favourite roses are rose with a twist. Rosine has some very innovative roses. Serge Lutens has some stunning Rose scents. Creed has some beautiful old fashioned roses. Eau du The Rose Bulgarie is haunting. I also love classic and vintage fragrances so there is that.

Hello Clémence, I've always loved rose perfumes, unlike you, since I was little. But I understand because it's so common in perfumery. And some might be a little old-fashioned. I can't choose my favorite. But the one I hate is the "Cicuta" perfume by V Canto, it's rose but with coriander. I hate it, it's the only one with rose that I can't smell. My husband likes it but not me lol 😘🤍

Have you revisited Amouage Lyric man? I think that and portrait of a lady are similar types of rose both use rose incense but portrait has a more green fruity kind of French mouthwash smell and lyric is more of a rose bubble bath. They’re both classically masculine clean not sweet imo.

It's hard to pick a favorite rose. I'd have to go with Much Ado About the Duke by Pennhalligon's. I also enjoy Lyrics, both the men's and women's. I also like the Duchess Rose. I need to try more rose. Not really a fan of Rose-Oud combos. Al Kimya by Royal crown is also amazing. I want to test this one again before I buy it.
