HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 🥳 So this video is two weeks late 😂 I’ve been enjoying the Holidays with friends and family and took a couple weeks off from filming. My last Haul of 2022 is coming next week 😉

I loved this video so much! ❤️ I struggle with this a lot because I try to give a detailed review then a few months later it smells totally different and then I don’t want to go back on my word but perfumes can change so much! 😅 I loved the Burberry her edt so much when I first got it and the other day I sprayed it and couldn’t believe how much more floral and sharpness I got 😩 I’m hoping it was just that day 😅

Hey Amy!! Hope you had an amazing Holiday Season 🎊 Happy New Year 🥳 Yesssss girl! Perfumes do change and for many reasons, your nose starts to pick up notes it didn’t before, the weather can change the scent as well and you can simply outgrow a fragrance 🤷🏻‍♀️ I really try to to stick to my top at the moment cause I know it can change 😝 Yea, that Burberry Her EDT is tricky! Some days it’s a sparkly, musky pear 🍐other days I get more strawberry 🍓 and then a couple times I got something sharp 😩

Great idea for a video! I recently revisited Jazz Club. At first it was too herbal & sharp for me and I didn’t get the hype. A year later I sprayed my same travel spray and it was so much smoother! I have learned more over time about perfume notes but I do think the perfume itself mellowed in the glass. To me the lemon, neroli, and sage calmed down and I get more rum, tobacco, and vanilla. I think you’re on to something with the smaller bottles. I think it’s the same formula going in but it changes faster because it’s less juice exposed to more air as you go through it. Just my theory. I do have an original bottle of Note Vanille and I really hope the new bottles are the same formula!!

This was a very interesting video. Now I'm curious about the fragrances in my collection...I need to go revisit some and see if they have changed..I can say that my nose is starting to mature more because some of the Best Mode fragrances I couldn't do, but I know enough some of them

Yes! It’s crazy how our noses mature and start to pick up more notes. Beast mode is still occasional for me tho 😝

Burberry Elixir and Libre Le Parfum are my favorite flankers! absolutely love em even with a fresh bottle but I love sweet and gourmand fragrances :) I'm curious to see how Vanilla Royale ages

I use the Pear Glace lotion from Victoria's Secret with the Burberry Her EDT to bring out the pear more. I typically hate watermelon scents but I absolutely adore L'Imperatrice during the summer. You know rhubarb has my heart in scents.

Yeah definitely. A consideration I’ve had this year when deciding on a new fragrance is…will I like the smell of this when the juice sits/deepens and now it’s stronger in projection, denser or sweeter/woodier/whatever the prominent note is. Because when that happens, everything changes. Like can I handle the smell then? Or wear it for the same occasions or seasons? Because it happens 😅

Especially when picking my first sweet rose oud fragrance lol because I get annoyed easily with cloying fragrances

Yes! I’m learning that certain notes will get stronger with time. That’s why some fragrances I prefer in small bottles! A perfect example is Oud Bouquet. I have a huge bottle that I’ve barely made a dent in because it’s gotten stronger and I can only spray it light and when it’s cool outsider

@@rebecacollazo ooh I kept samples of Oud Bouquet because I couldn’t find the smaller bottle. I already bought Jo Malone’s so maybe next time. But I learned my lesson in 2020 with Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming. It became dense and sweeter to the point I could only wear it peak winter to thin it out or else it would be cloying. Luckily I had a few sprays in my 100 mL left when it darkened, so I finished it and wasn’t overwhelmed lol. It was annoying making myself wear it before it was so far gone though, because I don’t gravitate towards that kind of fruity floral for winter.

Happy new year!! I don't own Note Vanillé but I bought 2 samples on 2 different occasions from the same website and they both smelled like different perfumes. Idk if the fragrance or the website was the issue. Also I feel like something similar happened with Vanilla 28? I have the biggest bottle and eventually got the sample set and that Vanilla 28 doesn't smell like mine even though they said it wasn't reformulated. So I freaked out and bought a backup lol.

Oh I just pulled Jimmy Choo Fever out of my collection a few days ago and it didn't spark the love like it used to. I'm going to give a few more tries to see what exactly it is but I think my nose might have just moved on. Actually I think my nose has more expensive taste now. 😂

I can’t get on the Burberry Her wagon! They all smell so synthetic to me… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Gris Dior I love but I can’t overspray. It’s so strong! Ketchup was the worst for me with Covid! It was literally like smelling cat pee! 😹 Happy New Year to you and Dennis! 😘

I dont have all of the perfumes you presented, only some of them and I agree. Kayali Vanill did turn into that sugary essence vanilla, can almost smell the sugar in it and the booziness. Angels Share always seemed like it lasted long, but now I feel the performance is nuclear, I almost asfixiated myself with it last time I wore it, I didnt realise it turned stronger and more boozy and aromatic and on the scarf I wore that day it lasted for 1 week, no joke. Libre le parfum same, I have it since august and now i can feel is more aromatic and a tad sweeter. Other fragrances that changed to my nose, lets see Tiffany intense now is more iris and less pear, more make upy smell. La nuit tresor nude it didnt last on me more than 10 min , now is more vanillic and lasts at least 2-3 hours. I can’t say much about Gris Dior , I literally just bought it on a whim before New Years.

Thanks for sharing!! You will have to let me know what you think of Gris Dior. I’m gonna pull it out again when the temp goes up a little and spray less since I hear less is more and see how I feel about it. Happy New Year!

I think you have to take periodic breaks from patchouli! Like its some science or somethin😆 Idk but I experience the same thing! Ive been wearing it for years as well, the straight oil at that but I have periods of time where it does nothing for me OR.. randomly gives me a headache and im like ??? Then I go back to it and get obsessed again (like right now).. its a funny note! 🎆🎊Happy New Year! 🎊🎇

I'm letting my new bottle of V 28 sit...the travel size I have is perfection and I get what you mean about cooking with vanilla type vanilla in it.... but the full bottle needs to macerate

Note Vanille was the biggest disappointment of 2022. It’s super floral and not very boozy vanilla the way people with the old bottle described. My juice is still clear, it hasn’t even changed to that “inky” color your bottle has. I can’t blind buy anymore. 😅

Yes. I am with you. I really wanted the older note vanille for the juice and bottle. I don't care what they say..from the colors to the way its described I think it's different. Mine is clear and I have the new bottle.

I sampled note vanille, loved it and couldn’t find a bottle. I loved that old bottle. When it became available in the new bottle I jumped on it and bought directly from micallef. It was completely clear and smells completely different than the butterscotch colored sample. Alcohol floral vanilla in that order. I am very sensitive to florals and I can’t handle it. Other people think it smells great. I feel like they rushed it to market before it was ready. Mine is slightly purple now but still not what I want it to be. And if you look at the ads with the new bottles the juice looks more golden than purple. I need to just sell it and get on with my life. Like I said I don’t think there’s anything’s wrong with it, it’s just too floral for me now.

OMG THE JUICE COLOUR I noticed the same thing with my new MFK GFG, the old one deepened to a gold but the newer one is lilac? Maybe the rules about colour in the formula changed and so all the ones that use it changed to this purpley colour?

I know certain rules and regulations have changed with fragrances so that could definitely be it!
