Thank you for acknowledging that Royal Equestrian may actually be better than Layton, the original on which it is based. Most fragrance reviewers are unwilling to admit, that most of what we pay for is brand name, and that in many cases, the "differences" in the clones, are in fact, improvements on the originals.

Apple Crumb on ya curtains over Christmas 👍 My youngest loves wearing it so I get wafts without wearing it myself. Great list .

I knew RE would be #1. Honestly, it’s perfect. It smells better every time I wear it and I reach for it way more than I thought I would. Out of my first sample pack, I picked up bottles of Royal & Fructus Virginis. Loving them both. I liiike Zion but it reassured me that blue fragrances just aren’t my thing.

I’m glad you mention that because I feel the same way about blue/aqua/citrus fragrances. Most of them are nice, non offensive & safe but they are not interesting to me at all. I’m currently trying Versace pour Homme & it’s ok, good spray before out the door but just boring.

About #1 ,clone of the LayTon scent, I think Dusk of The woods collection also does a good job, you should try it, it's a perfect clone, the scent is nice and deep, and the transformation is also very good.

If you want a good performing Neroli based fragrance, I recommend Mediterrenean Neroli of Ermenegildo Zegna. Best Neroli scent to me. Dense and longlasting. 8 hours plus.

Also try Al Haramain Portfolio Neroli Canvas. It's not cheap but it's niche quality and better than most neroli fragrances on the market, including its inspiration - Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. Compared to TF NP, it is richer, longer lasting, better projecting, better performing, smells just as good (actually better in my opinion, )not nearly as expensive, and better bang for the buck.

The Zegna (first edt version) is the purest neroli I've smelled but...I recently got a bottle of Bottega Veneta Parco Palladiano VIII Neroli, it's a speechless frag!😳

I've ordered from happyland (I'm in love with paisley sky) and from scentual obsessions (waiting for them to get here) now making a list for alexandria lol don't need anymore aventus smelling frags that's for sure. I enjoy gourmand scents like maple mayhem from scentual so I might also enjoy apple crumb.

mate do these have the same oily sticky residue that you get with perfume parlour or kdjinspired? the only reason i buy original fragrances is because i cant stand the stickyness of the clones i've tried.

Hmm, certainly no stickiness. Sometimes you can see a sheen on your skin where it's been applied but i wouldn't describe them as oily or sticky.

@@EverymanFragrances it is really good. Honest fragrance reviews spoke about him in passing in his layton clone battle vid. I bought a bottle too, and i like it. Btw i ordered a bunch of sample packs from alexandria fragrances based on this vid. Their dior parfum clone is so good. Thank you for the vid. I too am a huge layton fan. I watch so many layton vids that i even got a german one on my feed (they recomended al haramain detour noir).

Does anyone know why Splendid Vanille is not available to purchase from the UK site? I contacted Alexandria Fragrances and got a prompt but very short response, saying that it was only available in the US. No other explanation or information as to why it is not available here, or even if there is any possibility that it may be added to the site at a later date.

Hey Steve, i know what you mean with these gourmands like apple crumb. I had one million lucky which smelled to me like nutella or other hazelnut dessert ;) i liked smelling is from paper, but hated wearing it, eventually i sold it. Btw have you tried Ombre Noir from Alexandria fragrences? It supposed to be clone of first 2009 formulation of ysl la nuit lhomme. It is very dense sweet green cardamom. Very interesting smell, not really performance beast though, like OG anyways

I love the smell of florals but some fragrances that are too floral smell too feminine so yeah I like to smell tuberose but not wear it. I like the smell of baccarat 540 but too many females wear that or a clone of that so I don't wear that one either.

Zion has a bit too much of a pencil shaving smell in the dry down, I prefer the dry down of Elysium hands down

I have to warn people about Alexandria Fragrances. They sent me four samples, all weak smelling, the fragrance disappeared in 15 minutes - these were The Irish Gentleman, Anubis Kiss, Golden Rush and Hafez 1984.. DO NOT BUY. Their response to me was they have a successful business 🙃 I would point out that it depends what the aim is. If it is to sell crap for a few years and make millions in the process then perhaps they have a great business model.

Well, I can't comment on all those fragrances but I get brilliant performance from Hafez 1984. I love that fragrance and I included it in my top 10 best fragrances ever list, not just top 10 Alexandria.
