It's not a plot hole, those two are out of order. In the "second to last" episode they know about the stadisi and Frairen gets promoted from corporal to Sergent. Is the "last" episode we learn of the stadisi, and Frairen is still a corporal.

I'm going along with @leachim1612 on this one. I think somebody at Starbound made a little slip up and got the 2 episodes switched accidentally in this upload. The way Frairen is not a seargent in the story about the stadisi and the way Rimiki is now aware of the problems arising with the stadisi and humans meeting in the beginning just as the attack on earth commences is highly suggesting an unintended switching of the 2 episodes. It would be fun to hear what Starbound has to say about it themselves. On a lighter node, Frairen's panicking reaction when she realizes what is really going on, and Ula's reaction when catching a glimpse of his "tool" is extremely hilarious. That one almost had me rolling on the floor.

I know the art has altered over the course of the story line but I'd love to see definitve versions of what each of the characters look like. Frairen mostly came close to stayng the same in later down the line but Miss Rimiki has changed in design a lot... But still my favourite series on this channel can't wait for more ^_^

It’s funny at first I didn’t know that this was a series and was watching it out of order. Then I went back and watched it from the beginning I had no idea it was nearly 14 hours long. And always makes full of happy when a new episode pops up.

It’s out of order (so is the playlist). The episode with the Stadisi on the station occurred before the Mandarain invasion of earth. The invasion episode referenced the Stadisi discovering the humans were immune to their toxins, which occurred during the station episode, and on the station Frairen’s rank is still Corporal, she was promoted to Sergeant during the Mandarain attack on Earth.

As for the coffee bean. This universe has Earth as a rare type of planet. Meaning most other planets lack seasonal change and extreme temperature shifts throughout the year. Coffee plants originated in South America in the volcanic mountains where they would experience a frozen winter and hot summers. They thrive in tortuous climates and I'm thinking the Nimiki would get confused and try to baby the plant and feed it even more nutrients via the buko grub. In actuality, the plant derives its nutrients via strong roots digging into mineral rich volcanic rock. Most of these paradise world species never deal with volcanic activity on the surface of their planets and so they don't have access to the mineral rich soil necessary for good plant growth.

In service for... 30 years. Why? Because it's not great. It's also not awful. It is the most delightfully mediocre MREs. Every run of MREs has greats, and worsts. Chili Mac is neither. That is why it has survived in the MRE rotation since 1995. Longer than all but the oldest of current servicemen. ...I need to talk to DKOldies about getting the battery in my copy of Chrono Trigger replaced. Like the rotation of Chili Mac, it is 30 years old. I doubt a CR2032 could survive that.

@m2hmghb there's a reason it was discontinued. They take the big hits and the massive duds out of the MRE rotation. They do this for the same reason - to make the demand for each of them even. The AVERAGE quality of every MRE rotation is the same. The goal is to have ALL the MREs in any rotation be evenly rated, and NOT the same damn thing. And Chili Mac is just closest to average. Problem is, no one ever really remembers their favorite, but everyone remembers Chili Mac. Actually, nah. I think I had a Beef Enchilada MRE once that was pretty damn good. Might have been my favorite.

I noticed that in the episode about drinking Frairen spoke about how they “make” male Yorpul dance, which make the initial impression of Yorpul society as a matrilineal. Later male Yorpul seemed upset about a female Yorpul being a higher rank than them. Did they change the lore partway through, or am I missing something?

Magnetic shields (for containing air) do not exist, though for smaller openings you may be able to get away with a magnetic field designed to contain a "plasma window", which while only hypothetical, may be able to hold vacuum on one side and standard air pressure on the other. Though it is only hypothetical and may not be possible, may be too unstable and I suspect it would be an energy hog. Also that kind of thermal signature may be viable from a long way off, stealth it is not. A fast moving craft could punch through such a 'window' but the system would also need be to able to quickly replace the loss I'd expect, with a smallish cloud of glowing plasma puffed out in front, that may not be around long or in large enough quanity enough to be noticed. A door that snaps shut after a launch maybe?

Here's the funny thing about coffee bean roasts. The darker roasts have less caffeine due to the act of roasting reduces the caffeine quantity. So the poor species who have a low tolerance for caffeine and also can't handle the taste of the darker roasted, get stuck with only once cup per day of highly concentrated caffeine in their light roast drinks.
