Fralin Big Singles

Swapped pickups in a 2015 PRS S2 Starla to Lindy Fralin Big Singles.
1st verse - factory pickups coil tap
2nd verse - factory pickups hum bucking
3rd verse - Big Singles

Nice video. I put Lindy's 43Ga Version in my Starla. I love them, big round full, and smooth!! They take overdrive really well too. The Starla pickups sounded thin, grainy, and harsh.... especially with overdrive. The big singles transformed this guitar, big time.

Hi there! Are the Big Singles Humbucker Size? Just wondering which would be the right pickups to change the pickups of my Starla SE. They seem to be the same exact pickup. Stocks are not bad, but changes are always good! Just wondering if I need a Trembucker on the bridge position.

Those are humbucker sized pickups. I think they also make a mini-bucker version. If you're not sure which spacing your particular guitar requires, simply measure from the center of each of the E strings. If the spacing is two inches (50mm), you require a Humbucker. If the spacing is greater than two inches, you need a Trembucker.

I sold it to a buyer on reverb.com I quit playing out & sold all but 1 electric guitar. This was 1 of 2 most used when I was playing. I hope it does you right!

Thank you very much for this video! I'm needing a clearer tone in my S2 Standard 22 and this, I think, is exactly what I was looking for to make it more similar to a strat.

can you add time stamps to this with respective pickups? i'm confused, do the pickups on the video match the sound?

The pickups shown in the video are the ones used at the time. First you hear and see the factory G&B pickups with the coil tap, then at 0:49 you hear the factory G&B pickups humbucking. At 1:30 you hear the Lindy Fralin Big Singles. I hope that helps.
