Peltier coolers have their place and their operating range. As you can see from the 'unregulated' you go below the dew point, you get condensation. The heat you pull out of the die, has to go somewhere and there is no magic. You have to do something. What you didn't do is run your rad fans to ramp as the water temperature rises. By going from CPU watts, you can ramp higher the fans to more ambient air is passed through it per second. Doesn't sound like you understand Thermodynamics very well. I used to use 15 years ago the CoolIt Systems Peltier's. They were great little products for its time, pricey AF though.

Just to clarify generally, because I have some experience in this field, the "CRYO" setting is just "normal mode" for the TEC cooler while "unregulated" mode is where the sub ambient fun begins! Shame it just came out for 12th and 13th Gen Intel through open loop EK block, the 10th Gen Intel version of this TEC was released both from EK but also Cooler master in a convenient all in one 360mm rad configuration that I took my 10th generation i9 10900k passed 5.6 GHz all cores and stable for gaming back when 5 GHz was only for the "real" enthusiasts. You literally kept all 8 P cores running at 6GHz in cryo mode at stock CPU voltage and the trade off was an additional 200 watts per total system load power. If a gamer is only buying the Delta2 TEC for gaming getting all 8 P core at 6GHz without raising CPU voltage which kills the life of the CPU (or just kills the CPU) that you would otherwise have to increase the CPU voltage to do the same 6GHz without the Delta2 TEC how exactly is that dog sh@t? EK specifically states this isn't for benchmarking.

I use to work with this guy that spent thousands on a mini fidge thing that would get the CPU below zero. I remember it being huge bigger than the PC case with a tube that was mounted on cpu. The funny part is he only plays Warhammer rts games.

The TEC on a 7800X3D would be the way to go since it has low TDP. Imagine the eCLK OC you could rip. I worked a little bit on hacking the CryoCooler software to run Cryo mode on a 5800X a while back, but ended up just running direct 12V for some bench runs and left it off most of the time. Made the temps worse when off but didn't affect gaming really. Ran like that, steel wire strapping it to the socket for like two years.

Bought a 7800x3d with b650e-i. Figured out the bs issue of not getting into bios on 4000 series gpu by turning memory context and power down on. Did a bunch of tuning. Then found a 12v fan pin on the aio pump header that wasnt even soldered to the board from the factory. Good job asus. I found out. Returned. 13700k + z790i edge going strong now 💪

I have been using one on my second computer with a i9 11900k not using direct die 6ghz on all cores i had a msi mobo and couldn’t boot so switched to arous z590 xtream with no issues for 2 years my only issue is its loud and heats the room up eating power lol

I totally agree do not buy… I never had my system crash like you. Your pump and fan need to run 60-70% all the time. That why my msi board wouldn’t work my overclock would crash the system before the system would boot and launch the intel cryo software.

We need a tec cooler plate heat exchanger so we can have a loop to cool our loop. Imagining the rear fan is a 120 rad that runs at a much higher temperature that has a higher coefficient of thermal transfer and thus allows increased (ideally 600W, as 200W is about how much cooling you can get from a 120 rad under ideal circumstances) of cooling on a single 120 radiator. Idea would be similar in function to mounting a CPU cooler to this TEC cooler, but with much higher efficiency.

Needs to handle 400W to be any use, when it would remove the need for direct die and also give a 200MHz or more all core boost. Would then be of use to top end 13th and 14th gen Intel based systems. Maximum I've seen on my 13900K is 350W on the CPU when load testing. Before anyone complains about power draw, if you're soak testing a 13900K or KS with a 600W 4090 then what's another 350 to 400W 😂? I run a Corsair AX1600i PSU so have plenty of headroom. Edit: Jufes, the output section of the control electronics should be pretty simple to modify to handle double the power. Limiting factor would be the longevity of the TEC modules at 100W each 🔥.

It's designed to work with the cups normal boost feature. It's not ment for a manual all core overclock. You set maximum power draw to 200 watts.

I put a 12gen one on my i5 13600k and i felt like it was doing a great job when it worked, but windows updates or too high outside temperature (40celsius). The longest i had it work issue free was 1 month and 600- 700fps in cs2 was possible. But its like when it doesn’t work or keeps switching between cryo and disconnect (green and red). Overall its exactly like u said, its a fun thing to have but not really something that is endgame (like a 144hz 24 inch crisp crt)
