Really appreciate your sharing this...a cogent (sorry) explanation of why so many of us choose to shoot film ( in a world of 5DMx ) and why having a style is overrated. Reserve the digital for shooting shows where the lighting is a pain and/or dark, but the first choice is a far cheaper medium format. There is NOTHING like the joy of souping a medium format roll and getting that first glimpse of a series of well-shot massive negatives.
