Frameless doors are why I got out of the glass business , number one in callbacks

Unfortunately this will only work if there is enough room under the door to accommodate the new curb. Most likely the gab is only a 1/2". You can raise the door i guess but the hinges will not have enough adjustment so you would need to drill new holes and raise the hinges. If you do this then the top of the door and the inline panel will not be even.

Yess...this will work if there's still enough space which we must plan it from beginning before produce the tempered panel and door

@@peterang99 I guess if it's a new door but I thought this was about repairing an existing enclosure.

what was that foam you sprayed on the wet silicone before swiping it with your finger?

Will this work with a frameless that is all quartz ? I've replaced the plastic seal, nothing is working. I think the tiles are pitched the wrong way, toward the floor, not the shower, but sans getting tile work done, what can i do ? Get and lay down an interior dam like this in addition to my plastic seal/sweep ?

Where can I gate that aluminum strip that was installed along the shower pan or what is it specifically called? I believe that will solve my leakage issue. BTW, I'm in Canada. Thanks

Did you get it? if you did, where do they sell them? what are they called? I'm also in Canada, and hoping to get one for my shower. Thanks

Where do you buy this. I have a rubber sweep that actually pushes water out on the floor when opening the door. And leaks by the hing side of door because you can't put anything on door that opens

James, where can I get the extrusion. I have that same shower set up, almost literally the same. I have leaks in the same exact spots. Can it be custom made. I just saw the date of your video. Hope you're still around.

I don't think your bottom dam aluminium extrusion can solve the water leak because there's still gap between the glass and the dam so the water still can leak
@tiger3556 жыл бұрын
I agree this fix will leak. Same problem I experienced, but I resolved it with a water diverter sleeve. Clear flexible plastic that fits snugly on the underside of glass and will close gap between glass and the bottom rail.
@showerdoorhelp54276 жыл бұрын
Peter you are incorrect. Speaking from experience when a frameless shower leaks it is more likely caused by a curb tilted to the outside of the shower. Gaps typically, if small enough, will divert water to the tilted surface and the water follows whichever way the slope directs it.

lol, in spite of what appears to be a partial fix there's no way that door will hold up not without a D3 and some perp seals, GLWT
