Kudos to google for getting all these framework contributors together and kudos to the contributors for participating. Speaks to how everyone really is committed to the higher goal of making the web easier and not just promoting their framework.

re:interop and picking a framework based on size - If you have 10 components and each use different framework, wouldn't that mean 10 libraries to download in addition to the 10 components? These goals might be in conflict?

Thats the problem that Web Components are trying to solve, and also why component "Compilers" are being developed that can compile a component from one framework to another.

I don't dispute Web Components, I definitely think this is the future. It's "interop v.s. size" that I'm trying to get my head around. I'm hesitant moving to lit-html even though it looks awesome. Stencil is attractive being in the "compiler" arena. Then again, appending the same generated, boilerplate code probably has a point of diminishing return with regard to overall size. In the end, I'll probably just wait a month or so to see if google engineers are really behind lit-html then give it a go.

The Preact panelist enters after (post), not before (pre) the React panelist - that is out of order!

Off topic: I gotta ask... Has anybody thought what this panel would have been like if Shai Reznik would have been the host? :) On topic: great talk!
