While watching this video, I, for the first time felt tremendous grief for those who took part in polygamy, especially those who were abandoned by their spouse or willingly gave up their companion for some supposed higher calling and blessings. The passage from Brother Hill and His wife makes me especially sick. 🤢🤢🤢🤢 It is not pleasant to come to this understanding, but I know that God is bringing about this work through you. Shortly after I was moving my family to north Idaho and en route, I was sent your first polygamy video. I wept as I heard a faithful telling of the same things I had found. I could not be silent. I’m so tired of their names, and Emma’s, being smeared and lied about. I stand with you. I found these truths a couple years ago and resigned my membership. I separated ‘the wheat from the chaff’. I have not left the truths. It has been sad to witness those who leave Him and His Word/scriptures because of corrupt men. Regarding the last few minutes, seems to me humble followers of Christ and seekers of truth who share in a public way ultimately get removed from the church. The LDS anonymous true servants who publish similar great[er] works, will go down as their names become known. Even as the simpler members learn more in this information age and follow their conscience, this is the eventual outcome. Just a matter of time it comes for me. The thing I appreciate the most about Rob's videos is the careful attention to distinguish between proof and circumstantial evidence. The word "alleged" is refreshing to hear. Rob's efforts appeal to a truly skeptical mind because they are determined to weigh conflicting evidence, rather than jump to conclusions that MAY be as unsupported that the conclusions the Church has drawn for itself. I find most often that both the Church and those critical of it BOTH abandon Rob's clear carefulness and just take as fact whatever suits their bias.

Outstanding presentation. Fantastic pivot to focus on these men (HCK, BY, and others) and *their* actions, disingenuousness, and deceptions. All those who desperately need Joseph Smith to have been a polygamist (i.e., both anti-Mormons and L-dS Church apologists alike) do everything possible to keep the focus on Joseph and what others *later* said about him, while deemphasizing what Joseph & Hyrum publicly vehemently taught & said while still alive. By changing the focus to look at BY and HCK, in particular, the picture changes pretty dramatically. Absolutely --- Wikipedia's list of 'Joseph's wives' shows that they're all women (almost all?) who later married church leaders in Utah, where they could have been manipulated to sign any 'affidavit', Inquisition-style. None of them were women who stayed out in Illinois --- 'Joseph was a polygamist' is a shabby snow-job, imo.

The women who executed affidavits swearing they were the wives of JS were all women under the influence of Utah leaders. Less than half of Mormons left Illinois for Utah, but allllll of JS wives were only women who left Illinois? No. It's only the leaders in Utah who made up lies about JS. Same with the Inquisition -- people signed affidavits to avoid punishment themselves to target specific individuals with lies --- same thing.

Less than half of 'Mormons' left Illinois to live in Utah, but all women who signed affidavits that they married JS were women who left Illinois for Utah, living under Utah leadership. I have a question about the Sarah Peak Noon and Heber C Kimball marriage and the child that was born "in 1842". Is it possible that this child was actually the child of Sarah's first husband? How do we know HCK and Sarah had sex to conceive the child and that it wasn't Sarah and her first husband that conceived and that the child was attributed to HCK later since they were married?

I know it has been hard on you and your family and I know that you've not published any new videos for quite some time. As a direct descendant of one of HCK's and BY's most useful servants and a timeline student initially for the glorification of my family history, I concur with you. BY and HCK were deadly liars. Note: I apologized a few years back to a gathering of RLDS saints who were still historically heartbroken by Brigham Young and those who put their trust in him. I represented many by my ancestors. Since then, I have had to reconcile why it happened the way it did and what can be done now and in the run-up to Zion. Isn't it fascinating how God can use any of us for His purpose whether we have done goodly or even when we have done evilly?

Why did God honor Heber and Brigham Young? Why did other men and their church who rose up in opposition to Brigham Young and polygamy all fail while the Saints under the ordained leadership of Brigham Young fulfilled multiple prophecies? How come you and I have inherited a multi-generational heritage of faith and devotion? Joseph Smith prophesied that Brigham Young's name would be had for good and evil like his own. He said that the wicked would hate Brigham and the righteous would love him. I think we are starting to see the fulfillment of this prophecy. It is a great sifting tool for sure.

The only mountain of evidence is the one proving, NO documented evidence that Joseph did or said anything that supports, practicing or allowing polygamy. Isn't it kind of funny how bad the fraudsters were at covering their tracks? If they wanted some record hidden or forgotten, why didn't they just burn it instead of simply drawing a line through it? My Great, Great Grandfather, John Scott was a personal friend and bodyguard to Joseph, John testified in a tribunal for William Law that the Prophet had personally taught him regarding the principle of polygamy. John was sealed to two additional wives while living in Nauvoo and two more after emigrating to Utah. Four of my Great Great Grandfathers lived in Nauvoo and personally knew the Prophet, each of them practiced polygamy.

Yet, I don't know what they knew about whether Joseph Smith was a believer in Polygamy as a principle to be followed or not.

Brigham's family divvying up his assets after he died is a fun topic, if you're looking for fun topics. Justifying that the Feds would take church assets if they could, he transferred all church assets to his personal name and one of Brigham's sons ended up tossing George Q. While it’s difficult to disavow the “Traditions of your Fathers”, you do a great job of laying out the evidence of the great lie of the polygamous past. It did not originate from Joseph!
