We just visited Framptons Hut and the car parking area at the end of Mountain Road has been extended quite significantly. Much easier to turn car around and park now (Oct 22).

Cool little hut, and bit of history. Reminds me of the history of Crosbie's hut and easy grade access up waiotahi track being the old pack track.

Thanks mate! Yeah true, I hope to get to crosbies this year. There are so many different tracks leading to that hut, do you know which track would be best for me to cover in a video?

@@LostKiwi Karaka for views, Waiotahi for history 14.7k, whangaiterenga camp for difficulty 9.6k, te puru for easiest (Tapu Coroglen road entrance). Does that help?
