I remember the record! My father must have bought it when I was still quite young and he used to play it a lot. Thanks for the memories and for sharing.

Well well! I bought this record in 1966 at the age of 19. It is still reasonably playable. When new, it was a revelation as Landowska was all I knew about the instrument. Like Landaoska, I guess that Ms van de Wiele used a Pleyel harpsichord with its great range of registration possibilities. I love this addendum, in French, to the ending of Les fastes ... 'Total rout and confusion occasioned by the monkeys, drunks and bears' !! Cheers, Col, NZ.
