Thank you for observant viewers who found two errors in my video. First of all, Louis XV was Louis XIV's great grandson of course, and it was Louis XV who married Maria Leszczyńska, not Louis XIV. I spend a lot of time writing the texts and editing the videos, and sadly small mistakes do slip in from time to time, especially because I have no editor who can check my work before publishing. I have added correction cards and apologize for the inconveniences. Thanks to the observant viewers for pointing out the inaccuracies !

Jessica, it may be interesting to you to read about pregnancy and birth during that era. The portraits and stories of affluence and wealth make it sound better than it was. Being a woman wasn't always easy. You had no autonomous rights and 1/4 women would die during childbirth or shortly after.

Very interesting to hear about another person who's barely a footnote in history! Illegitimacy is really interesting too (& REALLY complicated!), especially royal or noble illegitimate children cos of the contradictions in their status, & the confusion that causes, & cos they might be important enough for the monarch to change their legal status somehow. Like with Francoise-Marie tho, often their _social_ status still isn't equal to someone born legitimate.

On the French side, also none, except Louis de France (Louis XV's son) with Maria Teresa of Spain, but she died soon, as well as their only child who only lived two years. So, the Spanish bourbons were above all inbred with their own cousins of Sicily, Naples and Parma. And all those branches came from the Spanish part of the House of Bourbon, not the French one.
