we played amazing tonight. yes we had some shaky moments but we still played far better tonight than last friday. we put up much more of a fight against France because we know that we need to qualify. onto the next one, COME ON LIONESSES!! ❤❤❤❤

Great to see the legendary Aimé Jacquet at the game. First win against France in France in 51 years. 2-1 win for our European Champions in a very noisy St Etienne. Absolutely perfect first half. Stanway scoring another stunning screamer. Russo with a really intelligent header to add to a great game for her. Second half, we were tired but in Serena we trust. Hampton was brilliant in goal, that save was excellent. A month’s rest and then in July, Ireland and Sweden. Come on Lionesses. Yes a lot of sideways, and backwards cautionary passing, instead of just going forward and aiming to score goals. You don’t need to coach international players. Just put them in their natural positions and let them get on with it.

@@LdevArt you should be aware of how Africans are all over the world, especially in football industry. There should be many home talents in France but these African players who mostly change their citizenship to France and the French footballing board hugely favours in selecting them. Ofcourse these African players are talented but you should acknowledge the fact, France have lost its Identity. Also, many African countries keep on losing their talented players to the European countries. Still it's not fair that no African country ever won a major international tournament entirely
