The French doctors earns less but they also have no college debt. University is almost free in France

Most European medical graduates complete school without having to contend with debt..... On the flip side, we have medical graduates in the states with at least $250,000 to $350,000 in debt. As a consequence, most opt for residencies in specialty care, which reimburses more in the long run, so badly needed areas such as rural, primary, geriatric, and psychiatric medicine are forced to do more with less, which agonizingly exacerbates the disparities in American health to this day.....

And this was 11 years ago. It’s truly admirable how the French handle healthcare, it’s ridiculous to even suggest the US can’t do this. #Bernie2020

Yet Macron is trying to destroy what has been built over 70 years, it's still better than the US for now. Hope Bernie will come to help you, I mean us, because he could also make people all around the world finally admit that this neolib nonsense is suicidal.

Bernie's plan is far worse than the French plan. The French plan is more efficient and reasonable because it combines the best aspects of universal healthcare and private insurance. Bernie sites Canadian healthcare which is a disaster except for life-threatening emergencies.

@@gelatogg9483 far worse?😂oh god. And the only aspect is combines is if you want additional coverage you can pay extra however everyone is guaranteed a basic level of govt funded healthcare. So I’m not sure how Bernie’s plan is “far worse” but I’d love for you to explain the discrepancies. And I’ve yet to see any article ever besides some pathetic right wing article, that states the Canadian healthcare system is a “complete disaster” for one. And two, these countries that have a more progressive government like Canada, Germany, and Sweden that provide universal healthcare system are all in the top 10 for best standard of living. While the US doesn’t even make the top 10, so it’s safe to say adopting a Bernie govt similar to theirs would be helpful.

I thought Germany had the best health care. But it's France? OK... anything's better than America.

Any OECD country has a good healthcare system. Except the US, of course.

here in the U.S. we put a price on everything. we pay for health insurance (if you can afford it) co-pays (a separate bill from the doctors office/urgent care/hospital) medicine (pharmacy). it's no wonder most people's debt is from non affordable healthcare.
