What is really nice for France is that when you see these tries you see plenty of players that were not in this 6 nations but were considered the best of France 1-2 years ago like Dullin, Ollivon, Vatakawa, ... or at least super sub tier like Thomas, Serin, Jalibert,... The number of top players France has is incredible.

No player in international rugby tier 1 teams is sub par. They must be able to do the basics perfectly. But be the best in the country at a certain skill. Ben young’s for England. He can pass and run ok. But he’s the best box kicker in the world so he gets picked. George Ford not the best tackler, runner or kicker. But he’s the best at reading plays and manipulating defences. Changing systems of attack gaining small advantages and mismatched until it’s time to go for a try (or the 3 points because top teams know when they’re beat and just kill the ball and just give and pen instead. I know that was England but it’s the same for France. They have the best support running 9 and 10 in the game and a 12 that has some of the best game theory to glue it together.

That was the first match that made me realize that this team under Galthie was different from previous French teams, and two years later this team has taken huge strides towards their RWC journey. @@pierregoumand1370 ça perso je pense que tu te trompes, dans l'histoire de l'équipe de France de rugby 🏉 crois moi que nous en avons eu de très très bonnes équipes qui ont fait trembler tous les hémisphères. Je suis très conscient qu'après une disette de 12 années consécutives le public a tendence à oublier. Maintenant le fait d'avoir toujours mené aux scores me fait dire qu'il n'y a pas eu encore le match fondateur comme à l'époque de Lomou pour les Black et Dominici pour nous. Ça ce sont des matchs fondateurs, rentré à la mi-temps avec 18 points de retard et revenir dans la douleur avec ce french flair et gagner contre les plus grosses et grandes équipes. L'entraîneur et son staff le savent, donc super et merci pour ce grand chelem et préparons sérieusement cette coupe du monde. Tape sur KZbin matchs de légende ou le french flair. Là tu vas kiffer 🏉🏈🎾🏈🏆🏆🏆🏆🏉🏈

@@AdrianSmythe true, I may be wrong but they have achieved a level of consistency, so it may be a tipping point. Playing off Du Pont the way England played off Wilkinson in the early 2000's. If they wrap him ( and 1 or 2 others) in cotton wool, they will be extremely hard to beat, certainly in the top 3.

Dans un autre registre, les commentateurs sportifs français et étrangers, en 1986, avaient dit que l'équipe de France de football ne pouvait que gagner la coupe du monde tant son effectif était exceptionnel et qu'aucune autre équipe ne pourrait l'égaler en qualité. Il a fallu attendre 1998 pour décrocher la lune une première fois. Au rugby, plusieurs finales mondiales perdues et de très grands joueurs ont vu passer le trophée sous leur nez pour un rien alors que tout le monde les voyait vainqueurs. Et si c'était cette équipe qui allait nous décrocher la timbale ? Et si cette bande de jeunes solides avec une mentalité exemplaire et une envie hors du commun faisait se lever les foules et s'arrêter la France ? J'y crois et je ne pense pas être le seul. Le staff affine encore un poil et on pousse, on court et on plaque avec eux et surtout on gagne. On gagne ! Terminé la deuxième place ! Terminé les regrets et les larmes ! Cette citation n'est pas de moi mais seule l'histoire se souvient des vainqueurs. Alors les gars : écrivez l'histoire. Ecrivez votre histoire. Et nous supporter et bien souvent anciens joueurs nous pourrons dire que nous y étions aussi (un petit peu.....). J'ai aujourd'hui 50 ans. Dès l'âge de 5 ans, mon père venait me réveiller à 06 heures 30 pour regarder les matchs des tournées en hémisphère sud. Certains supporters sont peut être dans mon cas et attendent l'avènement du rugby français avec un titre mondial. Merci pour ce tournoi 2022.

Entièrement d'accord avec toi sauf et malgré ce grand chelem qu'il faut apprécier à sa juste valeur, nous n'avons pas encore vu de match fondateur .je m'explique : nous avons toujours mené au score donc peu souffert. Souveniez vous l'époque de Jonas Lomou et Christophe Dominici alors que les Black mené de 3 essais nous les avons battu 40 à 36. Ça ce sont des matchs légendaires bien sur où nous avons cours derrière le score Ça ce sont des matchs fondateurs d'1 grosse équipe. @@thierrybayer1190 Alors oui et non. Je suis d'accord avec vous cette équipe de France a souvent menée de bout en bout (ou presque) dans les matchs qu'elle a remporté. Mais dire qu'elle n'a pas souffert est faux. Il y a souvent eu un trou d'air (notamment en début de seconde période) comme contre l'Angleterre en 2020, la Nouvelle-Zélande en 2021 ou l'Irlande en 2022 mais elle a su tenir et remporter le match (et résister aux Néo-Zélandais alors qu'ils reviennent au score c'est pas rien). Alors oui il n'y a pas eu de remontée fantastique comme 1999 mais ce groupe a su faire preuve d'un gros mental pour résister à ces trous d'air. Et pour moi il y a eu plusieurs matchs fondateurs : La victoire contre la Nouvelle-Zélande en 2021, et plus globalement ce 6 nations 2022 ou on a vu la France battre l'Irlande qui était elle aussi la grosse favorite du tournoi, la victoire sans trembler contre les anglais et l'Ecosse (qui nous avait battu lors des 2 dernières éditions) et même la victoire moche contre le Pays de Galles.

Oui ils sont forts, ils savent tout faire, ils ont une maîtrise du jeu rarement égalée, se connaissent tous très bien et savent toujours se placer.. Ils aiment jouer au ballon en plus.. Et devant, nous n'avons rien à envier à votre équipe et sommes peut-être un peu plus rapides aussi.. Cette équipe est folle, n'a peur de rien et a confiance.. En plus de jouer à la maison bien sûr. Mais vous restez l'équipe à battre.. Ceci dit, je ne veux pas vous effrayer d'avantage, mais l'Irlande et L'Ecosse pourraient vous faire très mal aussi.. Les Irlandais sont exceptionnels, ils m'agacent parce qu'ils ne lâchent rien mais j'adore les voir jouer; et les Écossais sont en train de monter en puissance avec une équipe de combattants impressionnants, qui peut faire mal à n'importe qui.. Vous aurez de gros matchs à livrer.. Et malheureusement pour vous, le public Français sera derrière eux.. Nous sommes ennemis quand nous jouons le Tournoi des 6 Nations, mais nous nous aimons et respectons beaucoup et nous n'avons jamais eu autant envie et la possibilité de voir le Nord régner sur le rugby mondial.. Pour gagner des trophées au haut niveau il faut du talent ça c’est sur, mais aussi un réel esprit d’équipe. Ils sont tous potes dans et en dehors du vestiaire. On voit bien que les équipes qui se connaissent et partagent des choses donnent le meilleur d’eux même. En France nous sommes ravis de voir ces jeunes arriver et s’intégrer magnifiquement avec ceux qui ont un peu plus de bouteille. Pourvu que cela dure jusqu’à cette merveilleuse coupe du monde en France qui se profile.

Yahoouu merci pour cette vidéo, quel bonheur cette équipe avec leur entraîneur et staff,après 12 années de disette enfin un grand chelem et avec la manière. De bon augures avant la coupe du monde. Sachant que à mes yeux il n'y a pas eu encore le match fondateur qui serait de gagner contre l'Australie l'Afrique du Sud et d'autres encore. Car nous avons toujours quasiment mené au score,il n'y a pas eu de match ou nous avons dû courir derrière le score . Style contre les All Black à l'époque de Lomou et de Dominici.avec un score de presque 40 points à 29. Mais parlons un peu du cas Dupont, déjà je suis ce jeune depuis ses 17ans et tous les spécialistes savaient que ce jeune avait un avenir certain pour l'équipe de France. À son poste particulier de demi de mêlée bien sûr qu'il est excellent mais en plus de part son physique et ses capacités à se projeter ça rassure l'équipe de savoir qu'il peut jouer comme un avant, qu'il peut distribuer le jeu en se rajoutant sur la ligne de trois quarts du coup il y a surnombre tant en attaque qu'en défense. Et bien sûr sa vision du jeu son explosivite. Enfin ils nous ont régaler, ils vont continuer à se préparer pour la coupe du monde..Quel plaisir ce fut long d'attendre 12 ans mais on sait que c'est arrivé à chaque nations d'avoir de gros passages à vide même je crois que nous avons là un record 12 années... Allez les petits....grand merci aux entraîneurs et aux staffs, ce fût long et d'autant plus appréciable 🏈🏉🏈🏉🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Il nous manque un match fondateur car nous avons toujours mené au score . Rentré à la mi-temps avec 3 essais de retard et courrier derrière le score pour enfin l'emporter ça ce sont des matchs fondateurs. France has a lot of player that could be considered the best at their position. Dupont of course, but Ntamack is probably the best 10 out there with Smith, Aldritt #8 is insanely good, Penaud and Villiere are always dangerous when they have the ball, Gael Fickou is everywhere. Only #15 Melvin Jaminet wasn't up to his usual standard, maybe Brice Dulin will do better ?

I would say that french amazing forwards (especially Marchand and Aldritt) are allowing him to shine so much... I've always been embarassed by this "best player" thing in rugby... There is no meaning on this in that sport. Dupont is an amazing player but he was there before Galthié and didn't shine that much. Now that our forwards are really doing the job on the setpiece and breakdown, that's much easier for our backs to show themselves.

I think it’s between DuPont and Aldritt. DuPont will likely win because of how spectacular he is and because he’s the centre of attention and play, but Aldritt is amazing. He a Fantastic ball carrier, he reads the game incredibly, his offloads often create gaps and line breaks, but most importantly his ability to get over the ball and force turnovers or penalties is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Look at Frances most recent game, he single-handedly turned over or forced penalties from England numerous times with no support. He’s personally been by player of the tournament, despite not getting the same attention as Dupont.
