People in Athens earning 700-800 euros a month and rent is 500 euros. That equation spells poverty to me. But now the EU, Scotland even Canada have taken away freedom of speech and democracy. They are trying to stop opposition parties any way they can. This is 1935 Germany, or the USSR. It alarms me. If this trend is not reversed soon. It spells the end of the western world. So what is next, Poverty wide spread, a kind of civil war situation, misery and sadness. I am very sad what I see is happening to once the most beautiful continent in the world.

@@PaddyDoesasia-bj3bb Maybe read up on freedom of speech laws taken away in Scotland and Canada. And then read about the guarantee of Freedom of speech laws by the EU. In the end it says hate speech is not allowed and the EU can deem any speech they consider inappropriate as hate speech. Of course hate speech is a form of suppression of freedom of speech. Hate speech needs to happen in a real democracy. So you know what is right and wrong. Hate speech needs to disappear. With hate speech laws in place you do not hate a democracy, it is as simple as that.

The Tory party has gone completely doolally. The Labour party went the same way years ago. The Tory party selected a Gordon Brown type as party leader, soneone who has never faced an election, selected by the MP's while ignoring the party members but totally uncapable of leading the party to a general election win. If the party members had not been ignored the Tory party would likely not be in the mess it is currently in. It was a monumental mistake letting the most easuly replaced group of individuals select the party leader. At the general election I see no advantage in replacing one doolally party with another doolally party so the only sensible solution is to vote Reform Party while igmoring the Greens and the LibDumbs.

I have been a conservative voter since 1986 , I was even asked by John Carlisle beds conservative member . I did decline not to do it but stayed in contact with him until he retired. I voted for Boris to get the job done and ever since have been disgusted with their lies and disregard for the voters wishes . There war mungering and financial gains . UK must leave EC HR , introduce laws denying Financial Subsidies, Free Housing, Free Legal Representation , within a year that would reduce Boats by 90% , within 2 years every Country in EU would drmand same especially France and Ireland who would suffer those who will not come to UK, reason so much residtance by Politicians to leav8ng EC HR is that would be a barrier to rejoining EU, EC HR was al9ng with the EU Parliament were first ties on road to Political Union, next were to be Currency, Common Diplomatic Policy and Euro Army and if UK leaves EC HR and that leads to other EU States doing same that is end of Political Union, best thing UK will have done for Europe since 1940., i do not exaggerate , EU will go back to being an Economic Union.
