It's in the French culture to be inclusive with foreigners and make them French too... Especialy with people of value who give for France. French rugby team trains with foreign legion, i mean foreigners who fight for France and became French. It's possible because France is not just one culture or an ethnic group but a "social pact", we could say a "Credo", opened to those who embrasse it.
