France, Switzerland, Italy part 1

A video about my trip from near calais Eurotunnel down through France via Troyes, Dijon and Nantua. Into Switzerland at Geneva St Julien/Bardonnex and then out and over the Alps into Italy. Just a brief look at an average day for a European lorry driver.

I was down that way a few weeks ago,and drove up to the old cafe for old times sake,same "lady" sat on the entrance,nice to see your videos,Peter,brings back a lot of memories,now I'm retired and just mooching around Europe in a motorhome,couldn't agree more about the driver's tales,according to my reckoning 50% of drivers over 40 have done ME,I'm 70 by the way and never saw any of the in the time I was there.Thanks for the memories.Paul

Most french say Bardonnex "Bardonneks" but locals say "Bardonney". Same for Chamonix, local won't pronounce the x. Thanks for your pleasant videos.

First time I went over the water I was lucky to have another old school driver to follow, I was only in my 20s and was quite nervous I remember! He took me to a parking place in Calais and that was where all the stories and yarns were being told.. All proper drivers who had done it all, I loved listening to the stories and I remember they were good mates despite being from all over the UK.. I don't drive anymore but it's always nice to see one of Peters videos... I wonder how many of the stories I heard were bullshit!!!

Great video! Loved seeing the A4 between Turin and Milan as had only driven on that a few days earlier. I’m just starting learning to drive trucks so you never know I might pass you one day! A long time away though probably lol!
