17 years and counting... it doesn't get any better than this. I found my dreamy little village in the Aude.

Ahh not too far down the road. Now that’s a fantastic region. We love the vineyards of the Languedoc. It’s France’s biggest vineyard! Not to mention the cassoulets and Carcassonne - you are lucky to have all that on your doorstep :)

Nice to hear your reflections of your life. That's a lovely landscape and scenery. We now live here in France for almost one year and we absolutely love the French country side. Cheers, Kim & Angelo

Lovely video. Lisa had the same thoughts about moving from the coast to being land locked in France. She’s over it now though and loves the countryside in France. Can’t wait for your next video 👍🇫🇷

I can see that. Lisa always has the biggest loveliest smile on her face. Flipping greedy having two horses though 😀. Not envious at all!! Have a great week guys and hopefully we can visit you soon. Eagerly awaiting your next video too xx

Totally agree on the countryside - you are also describing the northeast corner of the Dordogne where we are located. Every trip to the supermarché is a treat with the emerald green rolling hills, farms, cattle, sheep and ducks. We love the beauty and tranquility (from the States 3 years ago). Our water fix is a smallish pond that borders our property. All the best to you.

That was lovely to watch, great that you showed something of our village, we’re so often overlooked. It is sad the theatre bar and restaurant closed, we waited so long for someone to do something with it.

Hi to you in Texas. It should be out by now but the weather has been so lovely. We may do one last Friday market and then it will come out. It certainly needs a clean 😂.

Thanks very much for sharing your views. I was wondering about your interactions with the locals. Has your French improved a little, for instance? All the best.

@@LoloDuSoubestre yes as time goes on it does get much easier. My teacher will be cross with me for saying this, but I tend to not worry about the grammar too much, otherwise I do get a little stuck! Listening to French radio really helps! Rich

@@Maria_and_Rich_Newlifeinfrance If you want to discover France, I advice you to buy Michelin road maps, or gps guided Michel routes any time you move around (and have some spare time). Make sure to follow scenic roads. Scenic roads are displayed with green markings. You will find beautiful views, even in your area. There are top 20, top 50 spots to visit in France. The closest from you are Carcassone castle, La dune du Pilat, en Gironde, gorges de l’Auvézère, Châteaux de la Loire. Viaduc de Millau, La forêt de la Coubre en Charente-Maritime. Toulouse, Parc du Puy du fou, or Biarritz to name a few.
