Why do archery drop the top limb of the bow doing 360's after every shot? is it just design or something?
@CourtneyCostanino10 жыл бұрын
The bow doesn't do a 360. If you look at their bow hand, they're using something called a finger sling. In order to reduce hand torque, the bow is allowed to fall forward into the sling after the arrow is let loose. Along with the weight of the stabilizer(s), this causes the bow to swing forward on the sling.

Anyone knows how to bend a black clicker blade like the guy on the french team?

Thanks

For my better black blade, I simply bent it by hand. It's really not that hard. But once u try to bend it back, it doesn't Ben completely back to "normal"

Is that 25m or 18m? Sounds like 18m.

Always 18 for indoor

+Shuu Mai There is an old FITA distance of 25 meters but it is rarely used nowadays. All "big" competitions are 18 meters.

There used to be a rule of no talking to the archers while they were shooting. Leave them alone with their own thoughts, let them grow up.

why is it called recurve?
@shaunwang22629 жыл бұрын
If you look at the tips of the bow's limbs, (the bits that bend back), you'll see that they bend back, or 're-curve' against the normal curve the limbs bend in.

Shaun Wang Is there a particular benefit that recurve bows have because of the way the tips of the bow's limbs are?
@shaunwang22629 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is a benefit as it adds a little more speed to the arrow on release. The idea originated in horse mounted archers I think, who needed shorter bows, so they don't hit the horse, but still need the power in order to kill during warfare.
