North Macedonia is not related to the ancient Hellenic kingdom of Makedonia and the northern region of Greece Makedonia Μακεδονία. Ancient Macedonians Μακεδόνες and Alexander the Great Αλέξανδρος ο Μέγας were Hellenes Έλληνες. North Macedonians Makedonci are Slavs. Slavs arrived in North Macedonia 1000 years after Alexander's death.

Daniel S, you are wrong, Bulgarians didn’t leave the country because they joint EU. They left the country because due to the communist regime in the country once the “iron curtain” went down many of the government run factories went bankrupt. People end up without work, they didn’t have the capital to start their own business neither they know how to do it. During the communism three generations were leaving in a society that forbids any private business and entrepreneurship. When communists took the power people from small towns and villages supporting their families from agriculture for centuries were stripped from their land and properties. That ruined the agricultural business as well. Is very easy to break something, but is so hard to be restored. That especially apply for the agriculture. By the way most of the Bulgarians left the country right after the collapse of the communism. Bulgaria was not part of the EU back then.

Why, how and when did the Former Yugoslav Republic of North Macedonia come into existence and how did it get to be named "Macedonia" - - which is the ancient name of Greece's northern territory. Well the Republic of North Macedonia was never Macedonia in its slavic history. IT IS QUITE CLEAR THAT MARSHALL TITO HAD INVENTED THE NAME MACEDONIA FOR THIS STATE WITHIN YUGOSLAVIA. The Republic of North Macedonia was formally created in 1944 under Tito's government (prior to that it was the Vardar Banovina region of southern Serbia). The name Macedonia was NEVER applied to that part of the map at ANY date before 1944. Nobody noticed the creation of this state in 1944. Nobody realised that Marshall Tito had a purpose in mind in creating this state, he wanted to annex the northern Greek region of Macedonia and acquire the Greek port of Thessaloniki giving him access to the Aegean. Fortunately his plans never came to fruition. It is quite clear that Tito invented the name Macedonia for this state which had never existed before.

Vardaska is a mistake from the World war A. The Serbian army goes well ✌ and get more land. East Vardarska lived Albanians, south some Greeks and all the rest by Boulgarians.
