This one of the works that at a very young age, introduced me to a lifetime of exploring and appreciating the World’s greatest music. It’s rhythm and melody are ideal for a beginner and it fascinated me. I remember playing the recording over and over. Can’t remember the artists.

Despite the dizzying tempo, Macelaru evokes such amazing detail. His may be the most exciting and colorful rendering of this showpiece that I have ever heard.
