This song saved my life. My brother, the person I was most close to, took his life in September of 2014. Everything was falling apart. I lost my home and was about to lose my job. Everything I cared about was temporary and I didn't want to lose anymore. I was broken. I didn't believe in Jesus, but few folks in the mental hospital I'd visited told me if I was ever at the end, just reach out and he would find me. I was there. I was going to take my life. I was experiencing what I thought was my final sunset, and I was playing with the radio and this song came on. In that moment, I felt that everything I knew about life was wrong, but through Christ, I could find something to stand on. God is so good. Thank you Francesca for such a beautiful song.

It's nearly 3 a.m. on Sunday the first week of January 2023. My body was tired but my mind wouldn't quiet down enough to allow me to sleep. Also I'm prone to nightmares due to past traumas. As a result I put on Pandora Music and fell asleep listening to "Oceans". But the thing is I was somewhere between being asleep and being awake! I was dreaming and interacting with People in my dreams. Yet this song was so powerful it awakened me in more ways than one! I think I've gone through my life like that at times.. somewhere between being awake and asleep. Yet in this moment there is no part of Me that is asleep! "Holy Spirit you are welcome here...". The lightbulb moment for me is after years upon years of questioning my faith this song made me realize that GOD wasn't going to Force me to let him in and my lack of physical attendance at a Church and the guilt and shame over that didn't help. What did help is the understanding now at 3:10 a..m. when all is quiet besides my own heartbeat and my Husbands gentle snoring is this... All I had to do was declare, "HOLY SPIRIT YOU ARE WELCOME HERE" And with that it is finished. I can let go and stop judging myself based on standards I accepted from People vs understanding that this is between Me and the Spirit of GOD and what My deceased Mother or Society thinks of Me has nothing to do with Me and is none of my business. Thank You for this incredible gift in the Form of a song. I've never commented on You Tube about a song. I'm either sleep commenting or this is the only time in my day that there was enough quiet for me to HEAR, LISTEN, RECEIVE AND ACCEPT the message in this song that is so much greater than Me. My comment may help someone else. I just had a flashback from a one of my one of my dreams tonight! I kept running towards something! I came upon locked gates and was required to take various paths along the way. I ran past Strangers and left them bewildered. I was trying to get home, like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, but the journey never came to an end. I just kept running until the words of this song opened my eyes, physically, emotionally and spiritually 🙏🏽❤️.
