Owned Many shotguns since 1975 and just purchased a new 20ga affinity last week and I could careless of I ever shouldered a 12 again. These guns point and hit Hard. Sorry but anyone likely a mid bead or focused on their muzzle bead isn’t paying enough attention to their target. Look at your target mount the gun and slap that trigger. If the gun fits you that bead means absolutely Nothing.

I have the same gun but in marsh and bronze, awesome gun to shoot …If the franchi fits you good as far as cast and drop at comb then benelli would be the same because the shim kit that come with both brands are the exact same adjustments number wise …great review

Tru-lock chokes are the finest chokes made. And the forcing cone is extended in that Elite Affinity barrel. Enjoy!!!

I like the Franchi fore end better than a sbe3, but I like the benelli comfort tech stock better. I have the franchi affinity 3 in 12ga and absolutely love it.

Gun fit is a must. The best way to tell is get your gun (unloaded). Pick a corner of the room and look at it. Then close your eyes, Mount the gun and while your eyes closed, visualize yourself aiming at the corner. Quickly open your eyes. If you’re not lined up, gun don’t fit.

Franchi is one of the best reviewed shotguns I’ve seen period. Very very few bad opinions or experiences with Franchi Affinities. Been hoping to get a 12 gauge affinity 3.5. They shoulder great, great balance, cycle well from what I’ve heard. I shot a friends SBE3 and had the Benelli “click” happen on 2 on the best chances I had all day at ducks. Maybe it was because it was so cold but that was irritating

I’ve love my franchi only time I had problems with it was when we were hunting in sub zero temperatures and it got wet which is to be expected none of the guns were working they were all froze up

@@hunterbernarde365 I’ve now had a Franchi affinity Elite 12 gauge for almost3 years. It’s my favorite shotgun I’ve ever used. I have yet to have a jam in any conditions with hundreds of shells through it of all kinds. So easy to clean too. I bought my wife an SX4 and that’s also a great gun, but it’s a little more finicky with needing lube and cleaning but that’s all gas guns

With TSS shot the 3 inch 20 gauge can reach out on the largest geese and absolutely POUND them!!!

I bought the exact same gun same color 2 days ago. but the 12 gauge version. I threw about 15 skeet today and hit every single one with the close range extended choke. I couldn't believe it. Functioned great with the light loads

Franchi had an issue with stove piping shells at one time. Did you have any problems with this?

Been looking into picking up a 20ga. This gun wasn't even on my radar, but it is now. I like that it matches my Maxus wicked wing. What's the lightest load you've cycled thru it? I was looking at a beretta A400, but I'm not a fan of the safety placement on Beretta's autoloaders. Also, does the Franchi have a mid bead?

You sound like you have the same issue I do with most shotguns. I have to smash my face down onto the in store guns when I shoulder them. You can't shim an in store gun so I never get a good feel from them. The only ones I have felt decent with in a store was SBE3 and an A400 Xtreme plus. Both are very pricey guns but very nice!

I have a similar problem. I think it's related to the distance between cheekbone and eye. A high rib is the best solution as far as I can tell. A high rib also prevents the lower half of your sight picture getting obscured by the barrel.

I here you. I've talked to you before. Had the same problem as you with my A300 outlander. I filed the sharp edges off of my plunger that the recoil spring sits on in the stock and took 0000 steel wool to the chamber. I also started using marvel mystery oil to clean and lubricate the bolt. Just getting out what I have done. I haven't had a problem since. I've put six boxes of shells through it pheasant hunting and snow goose hunting and a few clay's in South Dakota. So far I'm happy. It was driving me nuts. Anyway best of luck. Enjoy watching your channel as well.

I recently purchased an Affinity 3 compact 20 ga. Don't have much shooting time, but what I have done the gun seems fine,,,,,,EXCEPT FOR....... Except for manually loading and unloading the magazine. When loading the shell stop is very difficult to overcome with the shell rim, my young grandkids can't do it. For manually unloading the book says push up the carrier and push in the shell stop. I cannot do it! I wish gun reviews would demonstrate this operation because I don't know if all Affinity 3's are like mine, or if mine is defective.

That dark cera-kote looks rad to me. TSS shot makes a 3 inch 1 1/2 ounce that can drop flying geese to 80 yards and pheasant and duck to 60 yards. Enjoy!

I like your gun , great video! I'd would love to check out the Franchi Affinity in 3 inch in 12 or 20 gauge, especially before the Election. I shoot really well when shooting my sons supernova with the high rib. I have a gas gun in the Beretta A300 which I like overall, just sometimes keeping my head glued to the stock low enough takes a little extra effort. I would love to try an Inertia next time if I decided to buy another shotgun.

I just got a Affinity 3 20 gauge with a 26in barrel and I got it specifically to use buckshot for deer. I have been trying and trying to find the right choke and shot combo with vary little success. I found that it prints about a foot high at 45 yards with most of the pattern. I even bought a Kicker choke for it and it didn’t help much. Have you tried buckshot through those extended chokes? I know they aren’t meant for buckshot but I’m vary curious to know.

How much less recoil does it have under the 12 ga? My gf had shoulder surgery and can’t shoot her 12 ga. I’m really contemplating getting her a 20ga being lighter and less recoil but idk if it will be worth it. And off course I want one too😁

Great review. I have an SBE3 and enjoy it, but do like some features on the Franchi. The bolt release button seems nicer(Benelli one is stiff) and the sight looks great.

Great review. I personally was going with a franchi but gonna stay Benelli. Being a “bigger” guy I like a 28inch barrel on my fun so to me anything shorter feels weird. But the look and feel of a franchi is amazing. I just wish they made a 28inch model for their elite series. I know their regular affinity 3 you can buy a 28inch barrel.

I have the 12 gauge 3.5 version and it is an amazing gun!!! Runs everything I put into it from light load skeet to 00buck shot and everything in between. I had the original affinity 3in until this past Christmas when someone broken into my truck and stole all my duck hunting gear.
