Using his new essay from foreign affairs (the same topic as this video) for my assignment in English class which is related to my political science studies. Should be a good topic since discussion is involved in the presentation and I think some people might have something to say in regards to his arguments. Personally I'd say I agree with him, but I remain hesitant in making a finalized opinion of course.

How can he talk about how diverse America has been and how the way you looked didn't concern your America-ness when he looks like he has lived through the Jim Crow years? And blaming the unrest in Syria and Afghanistan simply on the different identities of the fighter groups, and completely neglecting the American intervention that destabilised those countries seems to be just as myopic.
