Love my Sram Red eTap... on my road and gravel bikes, first gen of both full groups. It lasts, works well. Stunned.

Dare I say I prefer Sram to Shimano for the batteries alone... being able to change a front mech battery to the rear when it runs out is a game changer!

I completely agree, that and having shifters on each side

I like the modularity of Sram AXS parts that's a big plus for me, I however do not like their cranksets or bottom brackets and prefer Rotor for my cranksets.

Some people are finding the best combo is to use a SRAM mullet setup with road/Eagle. Then use Shimano crankset, chain and cassette, in order to get hyperglide

Totally happy running my Red with all SRAM everything outside of a Shimano chain. I've been doing this from 10-12sp with 1x and 2x for every generation

That’s more or less what primoz ran recently right?

Another big plus is that sram works on any bike. You don't need a higher end di2 compatible bike. I've got an aluminium disc bike and there's nothing about the frame that's not good enough for me. I'd love to try/have electronic gears one day, but I don't want to be forced to buy an expensive new frame for that. As long as my frame fits me and it doesn't break I don't see me replacing it. I will probably upgrade other stuff like wheels handlebars etc but frame fork and seatpost are solid. But it's not officially di2 compatible

The anoying thing about the SRAM red crankset is the power meter is integrated with the chainring. Other than that SRAM AXS is great.
