I like the song so much. For some reasons, it makes me cry.

I have a couple of issues, but not actually with the encyclical itself. For example, here he is saying in the video 'if someone is hungry, we need to consume less so they have more' (paraphrasing) The problem is the faulty assumed premise, that the reason someone doesn't have something is automatically because some richer person consumed it. Perhaps his thinking is a bit more nuanced than he's describing here (I hope so), because that's rarely the case at all. For example, if there are many people starving in a country, we must feed them because they are our brother, right? (paraphrasing again here). But if the reason they are starving is because the dictator of that country is burning their fields and attempting to wipe them out, then that's not really because of American consumption. Sending food is useless, as history shows, because said dictator/warlord simply seizes it for himself and his supporters. Does our obligation now mean we must go to war against this ruler to feed the people? And what if massive free food donations to a country totally destroy their agricultural economy as has happened in several African countries? (after all, why have the expense of growing anything to try to sell when you have to compete with FREE?) Are we now obligated to give them free food forever? Again, my gripe is not with the Holy Father's words (disclosure: I haven't finished all of the encyclical yet) but with what I'm seeing as the response from so many. No real nuance of thought is being shown yet.
